I don't really know how, but using PE gets around the BitTorrent blocks some campuses have. Both the seed and leech need to have PE enabled for this to happen, though. Most clients will have settings for Forced or Enabled. Forced always encrypts the protocol, while Enabled encrypts on demand. Those not behind any blocks should use Enabled so they can DL/UL with everyone. Those behind blocks might as well use Forced, since any unencrypted attempt will be blocked anyway. Yea, so as far as I know, the clients supporting PE are uTorrent,Azureus, and BitComet. Using this will also allow us to bring the super-fast-but-locked-away campus bandwidth to the tracker. I know that I personally can upload around 4 gigs per day at good speeds (around 300kb/sec on average.) I also have no moral qualms with this, since we all payed for this internet through tuition. So as the saying goes, "It's my bandwidth, I can BT if I want to." Thanks, everyone. PS. Admins, does this warrant a seperate thread?

I will check my bitC if I have it set that way (I think I should) My curiosity is whether my internet company is going to come knocking on my door, I have uploaded over 100GB in the past week. Probably they have company bandwidth ninjas...
