Thanks! Negotiations to form an 8th team are underway, likely a dream team. Hmm... I hope the rookies find a good home too. Not worried about the A-teamers.
And 6000 people attended the Starleague Finals. Wow, God Jangbi saves esports!

Apparently Kespa formed a task force to look for companies to take over sponsorship of the disbanded teams. He thinks that it's possible at least 1 or 2 new teams can be formed from among the companies they talk to. Also, Proleague is likely to begin in November.

Only 6000?
That is a lot for an individual league finals. The venue was full. With the exception of Korean Air 1, most of the OSL finals are around 4000. Proleague Finals is the one with the 10s of 1000s.
Ahhhhhh I'm so excited right now! This is such great news, I'm extremely happy that an 8th team is being negotiated right now and I have my fingers crossed for possibly another team. Hopefully those players that don't make the new team get drafted into other teams.
If this goes through I think the new team will have to be my new 2nd favourite since Hwaseung Oz is no more.
Everyone needs to thank Jangbi and Fantasy for putting up an amazing OSL finals cos according to the Osen article, that attracted the attention of a number of companies.

Any team that wins two straight Proleagues can't be a one player team. He's obviously the best player, but Stats/Hoejja were the backbone of their playoff run.
Also I'm glad that it looks like there will at least be eight teams. I

wow you seriously responded to a post 15 pages ago LOL
Probably there's going to be a player draft from the leftovers of the triple team merger? I wonder who's going to pick up who ..

Yeah, the venue looked packed, even if at first glance the fact that it was outside made it look like there weren't that many people there.
On the thread subject, 8 teams would be totally acceptable for a league, especially with Ace looking solid. KT, SKT, CJ, and the new super team will obviously be the favorites, but picking the best out of them would be hard. Khan and Woonjin might have some trouble in a smaller field with stronger teams, but i could still see them doing well. STX is in for a tough year though - a lot will be riding on their rookies, and they will need to spend Kal's old salary wisely acquiring a solid player or two from the remnants of MBC, Fox, or Oz.

Don't forget Perfective. He may have lost in the finals but he was clutch in the playoffs.
Hell, even CH and Action had their moments. The Zerg Rush strat KT employed in toward the end of the season may have been a little dull, but it certainly worked.

I'm excited.
STX can totally steal one of the big guns from the dream team given that they've freed up salary room from Kal, so it's definitely going to be a very close match if that happens.
