Ah the pain of retirement and loss. It leaves such a bitter feeling among everyone involved. I find it interesting that even though everyone knows things like this are inevitable, they are always so moved by it. The feeling of loss can really bring many different types of people together more than anything else.
Good luck Really. I wish you the best of success in your life.

loool i forgot about scforall. the foxnews of BW back then
also never forgot how artosis always said really was going to be as good as flash "soon" :\
Along with the entire estro house. I'm pretty sure really, puma, upmagic, action, sangho, and flying were all slated to be the next bonjwa at one point or another

I remember the chat going pun-wild a few times when Movie and Really were playing...so much that mods were banning anyone who failed to make a decent pun. good times.

At the risk of catching some hate, IMO idra/artosis had always overrated Really.
Don't get me wrong, Really was an absolute beast, solid as a rock. He was like the ideal practice partner and proleaguer, but never had that something-extra-special to put him over the top.

Main game that comes into my mind was when Really lost all of his marines to Hyun's hold lurker shenanigans... that costed him the game, but we got a funny Hyun air humping ceremony out of it.

was really actually any good? i've always remembered him as being a very mediocre terran, about the same level as mvp (before he switched) or frozen
He was much better than both of them, but he was never overall solid, to be honest. His TvT was probably his most stable matchup. Earlier in his career when he was on Estro, he was one of the odd Terrans like Hiya and Fantasy who had very good TvP/TvT but bad TvZ. After his swap to Woongjin it seemed his TvZ massively improved, but his TvP became a crippled matchup in turn.
He was always in that 10-5th best terran range, never really great, but you couldn't count him out against most people.

He was very good in late 2009, early 2010, as I linked to just a few posts into the thread. He was ranked #3 PR in January 2010 (technically #4 since MBC Power Outage was so gosu).
Really sad to see an A-teamer retiring when most of the retirements were either B-teamers or gamers long pass their peak.
I don't like Really for his beastly vP because I have a heavy bias towards the Protoss race. I'll always miss him as someone who can make me grind my teeth whenever he played against good Protoss.
BW, where are you now? One team down (probably) next Proleague with B-teamers replacing A-teamers?
SC God, please give me back the 12-team Proleague... also bless Really.
