Keep any SC2 vs BW comments out of this thread. This is a thread about Brood War and Esports (Tekken Crash, Special Forces, etc) in general. If you discuss what this means for ESPORTS be sensitive about it.

The foreign BW fanbase is most likely stagnant if not dwindling, and they aren't even targeting foreigners - what makes you think such a petition would have any effect?
Now a massive petition by Korean fans may make a difference.

MBC shows half the proleague games and runs the MSL, the 3 big things in BW are the proleague, the MSL and the OSL.. so yeah..

Pretty bad. As someone earlier stated, MBC was pretty much one of two pillars for professional BW over the past 10 years. That something so big and mighty can fall is a huge deal. It's like the fall of Rome for BW.

Boxer and MC retire and GOM/Gretech goes simultaneously bankrupt? I think that would have about 10% of the impact that this has on the SC2 scene.

Well, Byzantium survived for a thousand years more so, here's hoping.

Well maybe Anibox will take over for MBCgame and hire the mbc commentators, or ogn hires them and does all SPL on their own, though that requires a lot more money from them, not to mention we'd still be down a league.
