edit: the main thing is that tanks overfire in BW and so spawnbroodling = ALL tanks shoot and it blows up all the tanks nearby too. This is different from charging in head front because the ones in the back don't shoot if the ones in the front kill the units. Using broodlings makes them all fire and you can start your charge. After that tanks will likely overfire on possibly the units leading the charge and if you broodling more they could over fire on the new broodlings too.
