its occured to me many times but never had it gone this bad, my opponent literally went "im so sorry" right after observing what had happened & throughout the game he apologized alot for my extreme bad luck, my 6 goons moved towards his tanks then suddenly they stopped and went into idle mode, up until this point i did not overmicro, only after this happened i clicked rapidly to get them moving again but didnt work as they were demolished by seige fire during the 4/5 seconds of idlelization.
to whomever mentioned h key, it has nothing to do with h key(the goon@ wall against scv thing), the S key would help but the time which it takes 2 react to the situation allows 1/2 shots from tanks plus xtra time allowing vults 2 lay mines close 2 goon which is what exactly happened 2 me.

dat bug most ppl can get used to since u can easily switch back 2 attack mode wif h key but the bug im speaking of is a more serious 1.

Yup, but I guess we all have to deal with it. Blizzard wouldn't release a new patch, and even if they did, just for fixing this is not worth it. As said, spamming causes this to happen more frequently, as try not to do it.

i hate the stuck-goon bug, but well, if its not against MANY tanks you can push stop hold position and move them away fast enough to avoid big damage

I lost a game because of it on nGi once... I don't play protoss much but it's still fucking frustrating, cause the opponent wasn't good.
I came out with goons and saw vultures, moved them to ramp... but nothing happened. THen I got raped

i have marines and especially medics sometimes refuse to move. it is extremely annoying.

That's what you get for using bm medics.

always use stop command.it will fix the problem.and dont use your goons around ramp cause of the bug.if a tank hits your goons they will freeze too.

People say not to overmicro the goons, but it's hard not to when you know they require constant attention or they'll go off and do something dumb. It's like when you send 3 or 4 goons to attack and you look back and two of them are doing some kind of pleasure-cruise inside of your base - singing merry songs and holding hands.
Just give them a firm spanking.

I have had Goons freeze on me before when I random on 3:3s... It's really bad =(
Being a Terran player, sometimes I find that my Marines also stop firing/moving whenever there is an important battle =(

that makes too marines and hydras, but i dont know, if more often. It happens frequently on UMS. Do u know that bug, when u play with 12 goons and reavers. U start to attack and drop 2 reavers. And they will dance one on another and they dont shut. That is gg.

Haha, I almost never play Protoss (unless I'm picking on hapless newbies and cannon rush the nat ledge on Bifrost T.T It's fun to win a game where you're at 18/41 supply with only a Nexus, Pylons, Cannons, and a Forge > ), as I'm a Zerg player. Because of that, I've never lost more than three~ Dragoons to this bug.

Anyway, yes, I have experienced this before. Four goons were destroyed by one single tank in a similar fashion.
