SC wasn't around then, and the KOF series and Tekken 2 were the big things. The gaming atmosphere back then was damn amazing, and to this day, I still think KOF '95 is the best fighting game ever created. Anybody got some good SNK websites? It's hard to find them on the net

if you are, then you would know why most people hate the KOF series (of course its always been popular in Japan and is always in their Super Battle Opera line-up)

off topic: "Game over: How Nintendo Zapped an American Industry, Captured Your Dollars, and Enslaved Your Children" by David Sheff is a very cool read.

he won the qualifier in Japan against another Zerg but if he wanted to go to korea, he would have had to pay for the trip himself and thus he didnt go =[

The seeds for pc gaming to take off were never sewn, unlike in Korea where Japan didn't export any consoles at all, so everyone's always used a PC to game. off topic: "Game over: How Nintendo Zapped an American Industry, Captured Your Dollars, and Enslaved Your Children" by David Sheff is a very cool read. Actually, sony is much much much bigger than nintendo now, cept for handheld consoles. Kinda sucks =/
