I was shocked by Milkis' scoop yesterday, and given the drama that ensued, I thought I'd just translate the whole article. I do this, not only for the service of the community, but also (in fact mostly just) to practice my chinese... Feel free to criticize/fix my crappy translation!
Hwaseung's coach Cho [T/N: his chinese name is pretty cool, but WFBrood's nickname for him is "Fatty Cho" ] announced his resignation.
During his press release, he said "This was definitely not an easy decision, but it was made after much consideration. My love of eSports is extremely deep, but even though I have such an appreciation for this sport, I can't be a coach for the rest of my life. I was married, while as the head coach, and couldn't fully fulfill my domestic responsibilities. I want a little time to recharge, and get my things[T/N literally it was 'income' but that didn't quite seem right in context] in order."
Additionally, Coach Cho in regards to his dearest player Jaedong, said "In reality, a lot of people might not know, but as of two weeks ago, I had already decided on my resignation. Seeing Jaedong qualify yet again for the OSL finals pleased me greatly. But just as we came together, we must inevitably part ways, [T/N: it literally means 'those assembled must separate'] and as we part it is with a future reunion in mind. [T/N: literally, this time our parting is for next time's reunion? wtf... getting idioms right is freaking hard!] I hope from here on out, Jaedong can become an even mature player. What I usually tell Jaedong is definitely enough, so I trust that in the future his performance will continue to impress."
Finally, coach Cho indicated, "Even though I've already left the position of Oz's head coach, I still hope the team can achieve good results. I hope they won't get negatively influenced by my resignation."
Additionally, when asked about getting involved as a coach for SC2, Cho expressed that he would not: "How is that possible? I know that the timing of my resignation would cause people to think it's because of SC2. But I have used up all my passion for gaming, and I first need to recharge before I'll be able to rediscover that passion." [T/N Thanks Amethyst]

It seems like you did a fine translation to me! But i guess someone else will confirm that. I wonder why it was posted on a Chinese site and not a Korean site.

I wonder why it was posted on a Chinese site and not a Korean site. They're usually first picked up on Fomos. Then they're translated almost immediately onto WFBrood, which is a chinese site. And seeing as I'm much better at Chinese than Korean, I'd prefer to do my translations on a chinese source xD

It's posted in Korean. I just didn't find the need to translate it... since it just seemed way too generic and forced, especially in the face of rumors. I found that translating the rumor mill was more important ;p
ty for the translation

Sounds like BW coaches getting ready for SC2. I'm sure if the price is right this guy will return. And who wouldn't want Jaedongs friggin trainer to coach the team.
|
i think he will use this time to brush up his SC2 skills

Thanks for the translation It's looking more and more grim for the BW scene as every day passes by. It really does seem like the OSL finals will be the last big thing.

Why is everyone leaving?
另外,对于自己是否会出任星际2战队的主教练,赵教练表示了否定:“怎么可能?我知道在这个时候宣布辞职肯定会有人扯上星际2。
This part should read more like:
Additionally, when asked about getting involved as a coach for SC2, Cho expressed that he would not: "How is that possible? I know that the timing of my resignation would cause people to think it's because of SC2."
Thanks for the translation
