[Starleague] Jaedong, "I will survive the longest among TaekBaengLeeSsang"
(Translator note: "TaekBaengLeeSsang" (택뱅리쌍) is a semi-acronym to describe the players Bisu, Stork, Jaedong, and Flash all in one word)

On July 9th, at the Yongsan e-sports stadium in the 2010 Starleague Season 2, the "Tyrant", Jaedong (Hwaseung), convincingly defeated Movie (CJ) twice to advance to the round of 16.
Jaedong's superior control and decision-making in today's matches reflected his strong skills and is expected to be very active throughout this season's tournament.
INTERVIEW
This is your 6th consecutive advancement to the round of 16. I took a break in one season and had to fight my way back up from the preliminaries, so I'm happy to make a comeback. I'm confident that I'll play better from the round of 16 and up. I'm looking forward to see how far I can go and I think it will be fun.
You've won 3 out of 5 times. I haven't lost to anyone else save Flash since I've gotten up into the round of 16. If I can get into the round of 8 I feel like I can win the tournament, and if I don't meet Flash, I think I can go to the finals.
How was today's games? I think I played dominantly, which is the way I wanted to. This is really important for me so I am satisfied.
Movie isn't a very easy opponent though. I didn't consider that at all while I played him and since I'm confident in ZvP, I felt like I could beat him even if he is a good opponent. I didn't consider his skill because I'm confident in ZvP.
All the TaekBaengLeeSsang are going to meet each other in the round of 16. When I saw Stork advance, I didn't want to be the only one out of TaekBaengLeeSsang to not advance. All 4 of us are advancing but I want to be the one who survives the longest out of all of them.
Out of the 4, Flash is the most conscious on your mind, isn't he? If you disregard my losses to Flash, I've always won so yes, but I don't necessarily want to avoid him. I always look forward to playing a fantastic match if I face him.
Your recent knockout in the Proleague is unfortunate but you continue to have high spirits. I've never had any anxious feelings about the Proleague until the most recent one so I don't put too much meaning in my failure to advance this time. After my setbacks in the postseason, I'm pretty much going all-in in the individual leagues so I've been grinding the axe sharper for this season.
But you have a good chance to win the MSL, Starleague, and the WCG. I'm not anxious to win all three tournaments but I want to work hard to produce results that satisfy me.
Any last words. I feel like I've been able to work harder after my fans bought me ginseng as a present. To be considered and loved in a time when I'm not feeling in top shape has helped me practice harder. I am deeply grateful.

My bad everyone, the thread decided to post itself when I accidently pressed the enter bar while I was still translating the article. I apologize.
and yes, Jaedong is the "Tyrant", I misread, apologize for that too.

no biggie
edit:
Out of the 4, Flash is the most conscious on your mind isn't he? If you disregard my losses to Flash, I've won so I yes,
That tends to happen!
I think it'd be clearer if you phrased it something like "Looking at the results of past seasons, if I don't lose to Flash I can win the whole thing"

I didn't consider that at all while I played him since he's a skilless noob, I felt like I could beat him even if he did a cute strat. I didn't consider his skill because he's bad at ZvP
Jaedong should have more attitude...learn from IdrA

I thought movie played kinda well in game 2 but letting those lings in was fatal...he did a really cute strat though

Heh. Winning a Starleague is easy!
Step 1: Don't lose to Flash.
Uh. That's it.

I never realized that Jaedong has only got dropped out to Flash after the ro36 (in the ro8 both times too), that's pretty cool.

"If you disregard my losses to Flash, I've always won so yes"

Losses to Flash, that's it. Which means he's won every game except against Flash.

Bisu shall overcome thee, muahahaha. There is only one Kim Taek Shin

Why is it "TaekBaengLeeSsang"? Isn't Stork "Byung"?

What's "ginseng"?
Thank you for the translation, white_horse.

^ginseng (in korean it is insam, 인삼) is a traditional asian plant root that is used as a medical supplement that in general boosts human health and immune system. People who work in the field know that Korean ginseng is very potent and useful. Japanese and american to a lesser extent. Korean ginseng is so expensive and in demand, the Korean government controls and governs the extraction and export of it...there are a good deal of counterfeit korean ginsengs and scammers trying to rip off foreigners. Be careful if you ever want to buy some..always buy it at a legit place (aka a legit store selling government inspected ginseng, not some random person sitting on the side of the road)
But giving korean ginseng as a present is a very very considerate and polite thing to do in Korea, I'm sure jaedong would have been very thankful for it.

well in the fomos article, it is written as Taek-BAENG-Lee-Ssang.
Baeng = 뱅 =/= 방, so I really don't know.
