Probably one of the best posts I've ever seen TL.net. Also, so true.

although i like that "ruler of pocari sweat, flash" explanation better lol ![]() Flash's impeccable micro and macro in the early mid, combined with great game sense / idea of when and where to attack is what seperates him from other players imo. It gives him a strong lead into the mid-late game, at which point his macro just becomes overwhelming and he still maintains above average control of his units. if it was just micro and macro, players like nada would still be dominating; however, nada's decision making has deteriorated, whereas flash attacks and defends his bases at just the right moment and place. I vaguely recall him saying something about his game sense being what seperated him from the rest of the progamers (in a winner's league interview?) whereas his physical was more or less "average".

Seriously, now he doesn't have to spend all of his practice time and mental strength trying to carry his team like he used to. I remember during winners league last season he dropped out of both individuals because he was too busy trying to reverse all-kill.

Since you said Flash was doing so well thanks to Pocari Sweat few months ago, I've been drinking 2 liters of Pocari Sweat per day, and I'm still C-. I expected to reach at least B+ rank. Thanks for wasting my money in Pocari Sweat ![]()

Coupled with the factor that his opponents have now become a little more intimidated by him, which makes them doubt themselves a little more. Map favoring plays a role as well.

ALWAYS has more. | ||

As to WHY he was the child prodigy, who knows? Maybe he's just genetically capable of being able to keep track of many things at once; multitasking is not a learned skill, but more of an innate one (which is supposedly why women are better at multitasking than men... too bad more of them don't play SC lol). Maybe he was actually that mysterious hybrid creature that the bonus level of SCBW showed, a combination of Terran/Protoss/Zerg... and he was so epic he broke out of the game and started owning his genetic parents on Multiplayer. This would fully explain why he knows so much about Starcraft. Or maybe (and I think this is the most likely) God wanted to play SCBW too, cuz its such a bitching game, and he needed a human vessel.

Proleague: TvZ: 81-74 (52.3%) PvT: 64-55 (53.8%) OSL: TvZ: 25-20 (55.6%) PvT: 13-12 (52%) Semifinals: 2 P, 1 Z, 1 T MSL: TvZ: 11-7 (61.1%) PvT: 9-13 (40.9%) Semifinals: 2 Z, 1 P, 1 T Your statement is based on what exactly? Let me guess, you think the only reason Terrans aren't dominating is because every Terran besides Flash is mysteriously slumping and unable to exploit the amazing imbalance of these "terran heavens" properly, am I right?

Also note that Flash has only been TOTALLY dominant for the past 6 months or so. The respective greats in other sports have a much longer reign.

Jangbi in his prime would get dismantled by current Flash. Jangbi, at his absolute best, struggled in a Bo5 with Nada (who, to be fair, played far better than anyone expected), on fairly good maps. I don't know what Jangbi you're talking about. Stork's 1-2 with Flash in Bo5s so I'd give him an alright shot if he was in shape.
