My problem is a bit odd , just until a few months ago I was able to host perfectly on booth iccup and b.net , everything was fine and it was super easy to play games and whatnot :p My problem is about 3 weeks ago i have been unable to host on Iccup , when I try I get an error message " a game with the same name already exists " or something in the line of that ( and believe me i've tried every ridiculous name just to be sure it wsnt that). I can still host on b.net and on warcraft 3 and I recently discovered that it's only 1 on 1 games i cant host i can host every other mode for some reason So I would be thankful for any help or suggestions , thnx in advance .

it might be the game names you're using. trying using longer more unique names to host 1v1s.

are you using official and current iccup maps? Since bnet cannot return arbitrary text when creating a game fails, icc uses that message for all errors. The most common being the use of a map which is not in the mappack in 1on1 on TvB mode.

I get this too, sometimes, but it goes away as random as it comes.

I have tried using impossible names ,so its not that And yes I am using official maps And as i stated I hosted perfectly fine before , nothing has changed =/

Like Chaos said, you get this message if your hosting 1v1 on a map that isent in the official ICCup map pack. Go download the newest version of maps and try again is my advice.
|
This is probably due to the fact that you are hosting a different map then the ones they allow for 1v1 ladder. For example recently then started using Outsider 2.2 but when you try hosting on 1v1 it doesn;t let you.

yeah ReketSomething is right, I tried hosting a old Outsider today and got the message, you need the newest version. I just downloaded the mappack from their site and it's working perfectly now.
|
It's 99% chance you aren't using the right maps.
|
Omg I have the same problem exactly. Thank you Reket for solving it
|
Yup just download newest mappack and your ready to go.
|
Ok thnx guys , im gonna try it now :D

Actually, I'm having this trouble too, but it only occurs sometimes.
|
agree with all the above. i've only seen this error occur when i either a) am hosting a really common game name or b) have outdated maps.
|
it could also be that you're hosting a OBS-version map on melee or 1v1

Maps get updated midseason sometimes. Clear your iccup map folder, download the maps from their site again and you'll have no problems. 100% guaranteed.
|
Download the most recent and offical map-pack from icc and then try hosting with the recent map. That fixes that problem.

I had the same problem, but now it's fixed thanks to you guys

Guys does anyone have high lattency issues? I have a good conection and no lag at all, but when i try to host my lattency raises to red and nobody can join. What can I do about it ? EDIT: On ICCUP, that is.

The latency too high message is cause by you not forwarding your ports.
