I remember I was with Chinese player in WCG Cologne, they didnt like the food, but they still ate it and shut fuck up, because they are more mature than Stork.

I still don't understand why people are surprised about the whole bashing thing. Everyone does it. It makes the interviews interesting.

What's wrong with the food? One of my friends from Hangzhou said Sichuanese food/hot pot (typical heavy-oil) are greasy, too.
When I was in France, I went to Chinese restaurants for lunch every day. My French colleagues asked me why. My answer was I prefer Chinese food to French food. They weren't enraged. Instead, they introduced me both good Chinese and French restaurants (to have another try) in Paris.
Cool down. No one likes Stork because he's morally right/great. Everyone here knows him as a progamer. That's it.

Why Stork didnt complain about IEF rules then? Yeah, because it was Korea who decided the rules.

Agreed. He did win, they asked him about his opinion and he gave it. You kids have got to stop being so defensive and just enjoy the interview.

why would he complain about ief rules? he won it and the format was fixed by the foreigners before he even arrived.

i think chinese food is unique and some people won't like it thats all
no big deal that someone doesn't like it and is being vocal about it

Yay finally a rational Chinese individual in this thread.

he complains about the food just because he is on diet. who knows if he can choose what he wants to eat in China or not? so I don't see anything wrong with what Stork said.
and people shouldn't expect he says all the perfect things every time. He is just a progamer, not someone who is trained to talk well.
|
I simply found it interesting that Stork is not willing to let himself go for even just couple days in WCG. I mean, you don't go to another country, an all paid for trip, all that often. If it was me, I'd just screw my plans and enjoy the rare occasion. I think that Stork is too tough on himself.

Dunno if idra and the others in Korea can confirm but isn't Stork known for this sarcastic/irony/quirky sense of humour? He says random things like toss being weak and Zerg being a "swindle" on national tv so this is not out of character for him...
|
I noticed stork looked skinnier (sexier too)!

Chinese people, especially younger people, are pretty nationalistic and generally defensive when it comes to comments about China. And indeed, the majority of SC fans were quite pissed about Stork's comments. It's kind of odd, considering Stork is a just a regular 20 yr old young guy who gave his opinion on some food.
Personally, I blame it on Stork's diet. As someone with low metabolism and constantly needs to watch his weight, I understand what Stork's saying. He has a diet that he's comfortable with, and one that allowed him to lose a lot of weight. He doesn't like to change it, for fear that it will affect his regiment. I really don't think he's saying that Chinese food sucks. Rather, I think he just doesn't understand enough of Chinese cuisine to "pick" the dishes that fits into his diet. Hence such an uninformed remark.
|
Yeah, Stork probably doesn't know of Chinese food.
But he's just on a diet. Stop complaining. If he went to a region of Korean where there is oily food he would also complain.
Oh and Stork needs to stop dieting. He is looking unhealthy now.
|
Is that pic current? He looks tiny due to his dieting I guess but he also looks way younger. His response about China seemed a bit stupid, he's worried that all food in China is greasy lol? And srsly he's not some old person he shouldn't worry about getting a little cold...

Yes Stork lead the team please.

And chinese food is really oily. I probably have to use a tissue roll to soak up all the oil. But that also depends on the kind of food you eat.
