Actually both of these new maps have completely killed Z due to lack of gas, and prevented the only measure, as you pointed out, that Z can survive in ZvT. Completely Zerg-killer maps imo.

EDIT: Ice Outsider is a blatant P map. THANK GOD. P needed better map love this season. The second map seems balanced. I'm not sure about TvZ but as far as PvT and PvZ go, they seem fair.

Also, on the Eye map it seems like top vs bottom will play completely differently from horizontal positions, which is quite cool.

Rax behind natural? Glitch SCVs in to block any entrances with depots? Maybe even cannons? OffFax? I guess 1 base play with denied natural will pay off against zerg. Why is the low-value mineral block at 12's natural next to the main and far away for the other 2 players? Might be important in cheesy builds. Gas placement at the natuals is positionally imbalanced, there could be issues in tvt. Overall imo this map is very unrefined. Cyclone Eye looks better, but how in the world is p going to defend against t in horizontal positions? 2 tight ramps, and both in favor of the terran, as well as a free base on the push route. I'd simply wall off the ramps, especially the one in the middle and happily push towards the p.

I wonder why OSL maps has to be really biased. Last fall, Plasma was a zerg killer(would've been more apparent if it weren't for GGPlay's WTF win over Flash on that map). Then you had protoss graveyard Tears of the Moon. Holyworld was impossible for PvZ. And this season zergs are once again in a bad position. As a Stork fan, I like it very much. | ||
