I made a few maps during my 1 hour breaks in between studying, here are the maps I made. Hope everyone can enjoy them (regardless of balance issues :p)

Chaos 1.1

Concept and Features:
- 2 player 'chaos' map (action expected to occur all over the map)
- Able to choose between 5 paths to engage in battles
- Main has 3 entrances - the nat, temple wall side and mineral wall side
=> Nat can be walled with 1 depot 1 rax
=> 2 temples stacked 5 times
=> 3 mineral fields worth 16 minerals that helps in walling early into the game
- Troy gates that cuts off fast, direct path to each other's bases
- 1 mineral field that helps with walling at nat
- Nat has another path, blocked by 2 eggs, 1 mineral patch worth 40 and 1 power generator
- 3rd path from nat is by destroying 2 power generators near 12/6
- Area near troy gates and 2egg/1mineral wall is unbuildable, so bunker/cannon rushes can't be done
- Top left/btm right expo has neutral spider mines that delays Protoss and Terran taking those expos
- Neutral CC at center of map for you-know-what

Nat: 8M1G
Top-left/Btm-right (high ground): 8M1G
Top-left/Btm-right (low ground): 6M1G
2/8 Mineral-only: 7M
3/9 gas expo: 3M1G

Orbis 1.3

Concept and Features:
- 2 player close-air-distance map
- Very little routes to move across maps, hence scouting will be important
- Close distance makes control over air very important
- Easy-to-take nat, making 1 base play as easy to take nat as fast expand
- Neutral sunken at top right/btm left to allow Zergs to defend gas expo easier
- 32-value mineral field that blocks 815 style ramp at top right/btm left expo
- Expo positionings are such that you will have to scout consistently (know where your enemy's army is) and move your army accordingly

Main: 9M1G
Nat: 8M1G
Top right/btm left: 6M1G
6/12 expo: 7M
3/9 expo: 9M
4/10 expo: 5M1G
5/11 expo: 4M1G

Sheer Cold 1.1

- 2 player Low-main/High-nat layout map
- Multiple paths at unbuildable high ground (beyond nat) to make flanking easier/harass better
- Relatively low-resource map

Details:
Main: 8M1G
Nat: 6M1G
3/9 Mineral-only: 4M (worth 3000)
Top left/btm right (low ground): 7M1G
Top left/btm right (high ground): 7M1G
Center mineral-only: 3M (1000)
Center gas-expo: 3M1G (1000/2000)

Ad Verecundiam 1.0

Concept and Features:
- 4 player 'low-resource-macro' map
=> All minerals are worth 1200 and all gas are worth lower than standard (except starting gas)
- Arkanoid-ish layout, requiring to destroy many buildings to get to other players' mains
- Neutral crystal at main, which lets ONLY ZERGS to take that gas (this is due to the extractor being slightly bigger than the Assimilator and Refineries. You still can build an assimilator or a refinery, but you can't mine from it)
- Expo in-base, giving you the option of going FE or 1 base play
- All buildings you see are not stacked (means if you see one, it's just one)
- Center islands cannot be CC-floated

Details:
- Main: 9M1G (1200/5000)
- In-main expo: 5M1G (1200/3000)
- In-main gas (for Zergs only): 1G (1000)
- 2-Xel'Naga wall expo: 6M1G (1200/3000)
- 2 Power-generator wall expo: 6M1G (1200/3000)
- Island expos: 7M1G (1200/2500)

- Standard 4 player macro map
- Nat mineral line is harassable (but area isn't buildable due to bunker rush/cannon rush imbalances)
- Nat is cliffable (but has to drop)
- Center expo is Zerg-gas-only expo (to Protoss and Terran, it is mineral expo)
- Unbuildable center of map (except for expo areas)

Details:
- Main: 9M1G
- Nat: 8M1G
- 12/3/6/9 expo: 6M1G
- Center expos: 6M(1G)

- Shifted top right/btm left starting pos for main->nat distance balancing

Changes from 1.1:
- Adjusted choke positioning for Zergs to place creep colonies nearer and faster (previous you can just by-pass the sunkens due to choke being too far out)
- Pushed nat mineral/gas forward a bit


Concept and Features:
- Standard 4-player macro map
- Huge battles to occur in center of map while fight over expansions to occur along the sides
- Terrain added for depot/rax and forge/gateway placement

- Nat: 8M1G

I know there's some positioning issue with Peace for the 3/9 expos (being too long as compared to 6/12 expos), not sure how to fix that atm. :p

wow these maps look fantastic, some of them I like better than the beta maps for Proleague. The crystal on the geyser is particularly ingenious, I can see it being experimented with in future maps on the pro level.

I really like the concepts behind Chaos. Would love to see it played by pros, even if the map had to be tweaked a bit for balance. Although I imagine lurkers rip through those temples at the sides pretty fast.

Agnidev & Peace look really good. I personally like the maps that don't have a large abundance of neutral buildings, which is probably why I like them.

Haha, I really like the maps, although I don't like how little space there is to maneuver (because of just the way I like to play). They're pretty and have interesting concepts, but of all races you choose to give an extra gas to, it's Zerg? Ha XD

I haven't even looked past the first map and I just want to say that is one of the best maps I have ever seen. It's very creative and makes for interesting games. I love the idea of using the Troy neutral assims but also providing alternate paths so it doesn't become essentially an island map like Troy does. It's like a combination of Alchemist, Monty Hall, and Troy. And it utilizes the Baekdu / Blue Storm concept of a straight short path with difficulties, and a wider but longer route. It seems like came from the same sort of original idea as Battle Royale, only done right. I usually don't like complicated maps but this one is really interesting and unique. A lot of different choices for how to try and win.

Looking over the other maps, let me just say this.. you play zerg don't you?:p Toss will have a hard time on these maps where zerg gets more gas and can take the many small exps easily, and where Terrans can siege tank abuse.

Chaos is just too unnatural. I don't think you can evaluate the map without actual games being played on it. I'm feeling a very Protoss vibe though.

I have conflicted feelings about Orbis. It feels very pro-Terran because of all the open paths.

Sheer Cold feels fairly Zerg favored. The map itself is like a Blue Storm where it's a lot easier to sneak a group of defilers and lings around to snipe expos and stuff.

Ad Verecundiam = Neo Arkanoid on the Twilight tileset with the weirdest middle I've ever seen with +2 expansions. Nuff said.

Peace is heavily imbalanced. The thing behind the mineral line is novel, but no turrets = dead SCVs or dead Probes. Either way, that and the high ground can be abused so much.

Agnidev is a very standard looking map. No comment.

Chaos - I played some games on iccup with my friends and I have to say it's really fast-paced. One minute you're defending from the temple side, next minute there's a drop or a huge attack from the mineral wall side, and while that happens you send vultures via the temple side and mid route to kill probes and stuff. Still not sure about balance though. Terran seemed to fare pretty okay.

Orbis - Only got to play 1 TvP and 1 ZvP, mass dropships won the game (after defending against an obvious fast reaver build) for TvP. As for the ZvP, I went sunken rush (yes it's possible LOL) and won by containing the Protoss.

Sheer Cold - I think resources kind of run out way too fast, even as a Zerg I found myself running out of minerals very often, while having like 2k gas. Maybe I will add some more mineral patches in the future.

Ad Verecundiam - Played only 1 game, a PvZvZvP FFA. Went corsair/carrier/HTs and won :o (doesn't say anything about 1v1 balance though)

Peace - An okay map, the cliffs and area behind mineral didn't get used much. I think mains are a bit too small though.

Agnidev - Crazy map for Zergs in ZvP (multiple routes kills off Protosses very fast late game), strong map for Terran to mech on. Not sure about TvP, haven't played it yet.

Hm, Orbit looks very zerg favored in zvt to me. I see that you've made some distance from the mins to the cliffs at the main and nat, but I could imagine 2h mut with +1 into guard/lurker could be reaaaally strong, dunno . But the maps all seem awesome, great work!

Very nice looking maps, and I like the crystal gas-expos since I play Zerg, but won't this cause imbalances?

Yeah, uhh agnidev is very imba zvp. zerg gets an extra in-main gas but toss doesn't... not to mention the 858745345 routes to bases lol. maps still look great, just err.. balance that last one a bit.

Bump for TL Arena map submission

Agnidev 1.4

Changes:
- Made 3rd gas 8 minerals instead of 7
- Fixed depot/rax placement tiles at entrance
- Made entire center unbuildable
- Some aesthetic changes

that totally reminds me of that one blizzard map. but less cramped and crappy
