Hei people!
What an unproductive week. My hope from last episode was to get at least one impossible badge done. Didn’t happen. With the Olympics, sunny weather and too much frustration it all kind of went nowhere.
Trying to beat Streamline, Dolphin Olympics 2 AND Realm of the Mad God at the same time was just too much. The breaking point was dying with over 200 fame in Realm of the Mad God.
Instead of being able to brag I come here humble and beaten with some smaller games that I managed to beat (yay…). A turn based battle game with Deadly Neighbors 2, a platform shooter in GunBot, a very good Zelda clone in Seedling and in the end a game that doesn’t even have achievements but I have to mention it because it is super insane.
Deadly Neighbors 2
Achievements:
- Won't You Be My Neighbor? Badge (Find a special item – Easy 5 points, 28.000 before me)
- Philatelist Badge (Collect all 3 stamps - Medium 15 points, 21.000 before me)
The game is about killing your neighbors. You pick your family consisting of 3 family members and you attack your neighbors which also consist of 3 members of their family. There are 12 classes to choose from for your family so the setups are quite different. The classes range from shooters to cats to pyros to zombies.
Kill them pets NOW!
You get special items that can boost your family and upgrade points to level up your family members. When you level up your family members they get instant bonuses (you choose yourself) and depending on level they get abilities to use during combat.
The combat system is turn based but still real time. So depending on each family member’s action time they take more actions then slower members.
The game work brilliantly and does what it is supposed to do very well. The best feature is that when you complete the game you can upload your family so others can try to beat them.
GunBot
Achievements:
- Powering Up Badge (Reach character level 3 to unlock the fire fury – Easy 5 points, 280.000 before me)
- Into the Sunset Badge (Complete world 3 - Medium 15 points, 60.000 before me)
- Shoot for the Stars Badge (Collect all 132 stars – Medium 15 points, 52.000 before me)
Each level you just have to get to the end to finish. Kill stuff on your way and collect pearls to get money. You spend the money on better and bigger guns or armor. Go to the next level and continue your killing! =)
I especially liked the shotguns. They had such a nice power and impact making it so enjoyable to jump around killing stuff. The boss fights were decent and the art style loveable.
All the cool kids have tri-shot explosive shotguns these days…
Great little game that helped me out when I was frustrated when the impossible badges
Seedling
Achievements:
- Who Watches the Watcher? Badge (Complete the game with the 'bloodless' ending – Hard 30 points, 10.000 before me)
No green hat =(
The game have a cute little story and universe that bring it all together in a nice way. Combine that with a clear path of what to do give a great playing experience. No place during the game did I felt lost.
Some people complained in the comments that the game has no map, but honestly it doesn’t matter much. So go play this if you have ever played any of the old Zelda games and liked it.
Lastly I want to mention Anti-Idle: The Game (Clicky!). If you working a desk job and have plenty of time to waste try this game. It will keep you active for no reason other than keeping you active. I haven’t played it much since the idea is total ludicrous to me, but that’s also why I mention it. Try it and see the insanity. One part of the craziness is a button that you continuously click to get money and exp. You can do it as much as you want. Anyway… Try it!
