I got bored this afternoon and despite the boiling weather (which meant doing these shots in about five minutes.) I went up on the roof of my building to experiment.
I used curves this time and yes, the balance is *very* exaggerated, but I wanted to see how stylized I could make the normal afternoon photos look - they're meant to be more like T-shirt prints than normal pictures I guess.
I'm interested in topics like 'urban decay.' and exploring abandoned buildings recently so I'm hoping to find some areas to take photos of things like this in the future. It all appeals to my love of texture and colors.
Wallpaper sized (1024x768.)
Because a few people asked for wallpaper sized - I had to re-edit them so the colors are a bit different, but I hope you like them
Isn't it amazing how much you can do with curves? I don't use it on all my photos (like I do with levels), but it can really balance, or even throw off the balance, of a photo.
Those are great, though. I really like that "t-shirt logo" look you were able to bring out. The sepia-toned clouds turned out great too.
