my doc has an asian assistant who speaks flawless russian, no accent whatsoever (better than me lol), also one of my past roommates was a black guy who spoke perfect russian as well and the key is that they have absolutely no discernible accent, over the phone i'd never even guess.. has nothing to do with being fluent in the language, really. i've met russian speakers who can speak well, but you can tell they're not russian, these little quirks in how they say things, which, while still impressive, doesn't amaze me at all by comparison. i can't judge if the lady in the OP spoke without an accent obviously, but i assume so | ||

Err ... no, they aren't. For the average English speaker, they will have a much, much easier time with Norwegian than Thai or Arabic, for example. Taking more time to learn doesn't always mean "more difficult" but it certainly doesn't make them easy. | ||
