most fucking painful hardmode Hodir wipe ever. Had like the perfect RNGs and everything, we were SO far ahead of the world fastest kill. Even after healers failed and it was obvious we were wiping so ppl started auto attacking / letting dots tick, the lowest dps was still 7.7k. Put another way, we didn't get the first flash freeze until 42%. God damn /sigh   | ||

You didn't necessarily require all alive at all for most bosses, just around 30ish anyway so watching 10 idiots do their shit was more fun then the raid itself. | ||

I think most good (obviously not top) guilds will cut you some slack on the actual pieces if you have everything gemmed/enchanted properly and have a WWS parse showing you can press buttons because you've played games where you actually have to press lots of buttons. One thing that also really helps is having a custom UI and posting an SS of it to an application. You can always tell good players because they usually have at least decent UI's and more importantly have all the keys rebound to things other than 1-9. As for me, I said fuck it because the game got super boring and even "good" WoW players are usually shitty gamers. Also achievement points really ruined things for me, mostly my own fault because I'm anal and would get upset about the fact it was almost impossible to get some of them with a character that hadn't been around since Vanilla. | ||

I never played in vanilla though, but I hear the raids were pretty rediculous for lvl 60s back in the day. And the AVs could go on for like.. 5 days in turtles. | ||

Raiding and 5manning has definitely progressed since then to be more fun, but I don't think it'll ever be to me, as epic as when I first took down Ragnaros. It's definitely nostalgia speaking though, I'm aware of how boring repeatedly running MC and then BWL was in reality. I've stopped now, I'll probably pick it up when the next expansion comes out to see the new content though. | ||

MC and BWL was amazing, I even woke up at like 4am Monday mornings to be able to raid with my friends at home (since I was in Korea) but now...
