Why is it that all Protosses these days only know how to fucking build their base IN MY BASE? I'm talking they build their 2 gates and their cyber core and facility in the back of my base. Like. WTF?
It's fucking pathetic. Why do you think, all of you Protoss out there that do this, you will win with such a retarded strat? Jesus. The intelligence of these types of Protoss make me, a fellow Protoss, wish to switch to a different race so I can mock the stupidity of such players/race.
I just had to rant. If you want to 2 gate in my base and then keep building in your own base with your tech. That is TOTALLY fine. But building your tech in my base? Not so smart.

easy win for you. but of course, thats probably not challenging

It isn't a easy win for him.
It is a REALLY viable strat that makes weaker players crumble and get confused.. sometimes they even rant on forums about it instead of practicing to stop it from happening ^_^

Destination is really awesome for this ;D
but it's kind of awkward when you AND your opponent both send their first probe to build in each other's bases, and you meet in the middle of the map.
|
meh, I don't like it, but I tend to scout it anyways so those faggy protoss don't do much!! :0
|
ya I encountered that once recently around the C level on iccup, I was able to fend it off but eventually lost in the mid-game since I had lost a bit of probes. One thing I thought of doing is next time, based on where he places his pylon, it could be a good idea to build pylons of your own to block any gateways from being put down.

Protosses don't just do this to other Protosses:
This is from a TvP. I think it kind of defeats the purpose of DT rushing if you are going to make the archives in their nat...
I have had Protosses make their tech on my highground on Medusa when I was Zerg. I haven't seen it in PvP yet.

lol,
i have to agree, i dont understand how building tech in the other player's base helps? any ideas? am i missing something?

What is it called when you make your gateways in the opponent's base? Horror gates? Demon gates? Something like that?
Didn't Europeans used to do that a lot like five years ago? If you are a better player you can win with it.
Also I recall bisu using manner pylons to power gateways rofl

This is why on Destination that the probe that builds my first gateway checks for proxies in my main before scouting my opponent.
|
This happened in WCG 2007 I think.
Cloud did this on Peaks of Baekdu but just monstered the Protoss before tech.

Also I recall bisu using manner pylons to power gateways rofl It's in the PP '07 video. He builds two gates, and as the other protoss uses probes to kill the pylon he builds another one above the gateways and later on rebuilds that manner pylon a second time. The protoss he played against stopped playing SC after that.
|
That was copied from Bisu.

Especially on 2 player maps, i love to hide buildings on my opponents main, it really surprises them a lot

Dont play on Destination if you are facing a P unless you are a Z. Hell once on Desti I proxied in my opponent's main and he did to mine too, except he used the Bisu-Pokju proxy with manner pylon T.T.

He was a rank higher but I still thought I wouldn't do too bad.
I'm guessing you lost your match then?

He's not complaining about the two gates, he is complaining about the added cybernetics core, which should be built at home.

If they are able to rush you and build a their tech by their proxy gateways then the game is probably already over.

Yes, it was quite hillarious that our probes crossed the middle at the same time when we both sent it out at 5, I was like oh shit.
|
You know how it goes, the grass is always greener at your neighbor's lawn. Your base is too irresistable.
|
Playing tvp on iccup taught me to scout my own base before I go out scouting on the rest of the map. The problem is that even if such a strat is scouted, it can still be hard to defend.. esp. zealot/cannon rush on blue storm.. I was only able to defend that 1 out of 5 times, even when I scouted it.
|
the gates is understandable. it's the tech. if the opponent includes tech with the proxies, it's just asking to be destroyed.

I win vs that kind of shit. It's just incredibly frustrating because after you kill all that shit and then contain them to their one base, they fucking turtle for another 20min. thinking they can win.
Bleh. But thanks for the advice for the other players Inc.
