I love these films especially the ones that were made before America entered the war.
Right now I am watching "A Yank in the RAF"
Now obviously the storyline is usually the same the American could careless about the war but by the end he realizes what is at stake, the norm of pushing the American opinion towards supporting Britain and the Allies against Germany.
Wish Turner Classic Movies would release more of these movies to DVD so I could collect them.

I still haven't seen that.
The longest day was pretty good, the Nazis weren't portrayed as mind-less evildoers like in some American films. I also liked "Sink the Bismarck!", "Battle of Britain", and "Stalingrad" especially.
And yes, Casablanca, some awesome scenes in that classic.
There is another Band of Brothers series in the works and it follows the marines in the Pacific War (YouTube it since there's a trailer). I thought Miracle at St. Anna was pretty good.

HBO removed the trailer. It is called "The Pacific" scheduled for March 2010, god knows it's been in production for years now.
