I dont make that much money. Why would people think that? Yes, i make enough to get along and have some to spend, which is more than i can say for some of my friends, but that doesn't mean i can afford a long court battle/medical bills as well as missing the work time.

You did nothing wrong. Court might not see it that way and you may have to dish out a bit of money, but atleast you know you stood up for your girlfriend when she obviously would not stand up for herself (agreeing you over reacted when she molested her unconscious body? -_-).

I'm not you, so obviously we might have different views, but I would take a long good look at whether you really want to patch things up with this guy. First off he molests your girlfriend, and when you have the obvious defensive reaction, he then presses charges? That is not friend material right there.

If I were in your shoes I would have your girlfriend press charges for sexual assault. Maybe he will panic and say he's dropping his charges - and then you can as well.

This actually might work. Give it a try.

Also, was your gf awake, when you two fought each other? If so, she can testify against him and the charge might be dropped due to you acting in self-defense. In this particular case, it's all about evidence.
