Nice pics. Did you and your friends have a hangover?
|
Sick pics dude, how cold was it?
|
Nah, I don't really get hangovers, but my one of my roomies did. He soon got over it once we started hiking around.
It was pretty warm, actually. A light jacket and a t-shirt were all I needed to stay warm. My hands did start to get a little cold, but that was only because they were out and touching frozen stuff a lot.

Also, surprisingly, only one of us fell in the water while doing crazy stuff. Thankfully the water was only about thigh-deep and he didn't freeze to death, haha

Dude that's fucking awesome haha. Magical adventures in the woods are awesome but I've never had one that was half that noice.

wow that's incredible.
Not a lot of amazing nature stuff here in SD, just beaches and a few woodsy areas. I'm jealous, since I really love hiking.

amazing pictures, must be such an awesome experience!

Where exactly is this?
Awesome pics

Theres something about a frozen waterfall that just makes them look sorta creepy to me. Like they're not meant to be. Interesting pictures though.

i find frozen waterfalls so awesome and the third picture looks like a coiled snake frozen
|
wow that is amazing. It must have gotten cold extremely fast for the water to freeze like that.
|
Oh man, the recommended one is so awesome

It's incredible they're so frozen yet you can walk around with so little warm clothing on. I'd think it would have to get down to like 0F in order to get conditions like that.

Awesome pics thanks everyone
Im in the western part North Carolina, but from my uni it was only about a 10 minute drive. We just pulled off the side of the road whenever things looked promising and started climbing. Great for a day hike!
Because things were frozen, it really made it hard to climb around on the rocks near the waterfall. Walking along the trees that formed bridges over the streams was kind of tricky too due to the ice :O It's lucky that no one really got hurt; we were doing all sorts of stupid stuff.
