So I recently read Terran Artosis's thread on the difference between Koreans and foreigners. First off, let me say that I completely agree with Artosis. Practicing with a focus beats random play any day.

Conditioned practice is the best preparation because in real matches, you won't have the luxury of being able to think clearly. If you practice to improve your mechanics and condition yourself by repeating the same build over and over, your actions will become slightly quicker and more fluid than your opponent. These slight differences, when compounded, would create a noticeable difference. Playing Starcraft would, in essence, become almost like reciting the multiplication table.

Clazzi and I made a practice method that would theoretically increase unit production and mechanics. Now, I'm not sure if it's effective or not, but it seems to be a sensible plan, focusing on one type of play rather than jumping all over the place. For example, Clazzi and I play TvP, a few games in a row, playing standard in all the matches. I go FD and he goes for a 1 gate expansion. After practicing like this for a while, I have become quite a bit more comfortable with the FD, because I executed it 5 or 6 games in a row, which I would never do normally. Clazzi, on the other hand, has become increasingly more skilled at blocking the FD terran with a 1 gate expansion.

We even created specific guidelines to keep in mind as we play:
-Supply block = GG.
-Minerals under 1000
-APM over 250 (this is one of the harder things to do without spamming)

HOWEVER. While that's all fine and dandy, we encountered a problem. The only matchup we can practice is TvP. So the main point of this blog is that we are looking for more players to engage in a consistent routine type of play. We need dedicated people. We are looking for 1 more P, 1 more T, and 2 Z's, so we can practice all the different matchups. PM if you are really interested!

I'm C+/B- zerg, I'll play.

Me and avilo are doing something similar ZvT right now.

I cannot keep my apm over 250 for more then 14-15 minutes without my arthritis in my right arm becoming a problem.

Oh milky we totally forgot about mirror matchups! Thanks a lot!

I'll tell masami to edit the OP.

We're going to make a new hamachi server.

So there are going to be 6 players in this.

We need dedicated people man, like people who can play most of the time (not all the time but you get what I'm saying).

Alright the Protoss slot is now full! Same with Terran (not confimred). I think we need one more Zerg to get this going.

As for gathering and time, we don't know. We'll probably ask everyone when their normal free times are and we can start from there.

aw crap, i went away for a bit and its already full T.T How come u only want 6 ppl tho? i don't see any disadvantage to havin more peeps. besides, then it doesn't matter if ppl can't play every day. the point here imo is to really work on certain mu's with specific maps and bo's and as long as ur gettin good games i don't see how it matters who ur playin with. anyways, if there's still some space lemme know, if not dun worry about it.

haha are there any C- to C+ players willing to do this? probably 2-3 days a week? if we have people, 2-3 people for each race, we could do it! (i'm a p btw x_x;)

yeah i think we should get more ppl to meet up to do this kinda practice. its hard to practice bo's and specific mu's playin random iccup/bnet games and i think a place to practice this way could help out a lot of people. idc whether its on hamachi or wherever im jus lookin for some good games and its really lame when u can't find people to play with when you're lookin to improve.

I would (T)(us)Love to Play this , possibly a list of all the people willing to play should be forumlated - allowing for practise games almost all the time.

Edit - I'm currently Practising TvP and PvZ.

At C- / C+ level respectedly. I'm sure an increase in my mechanics would heighten this however.

:D
