In fact, I'll work it out for you. You have £50 but we'll assume you have £64 for the purposes of this argument. So we're giving you more backup cash to keep trying to win it back. Your first bet (ie the amount you always win) is £1. The chance of you losing 7 times in a row is 1/64. So, you do it and you win £1. You do it again and you win £1. You do it 64 times and you win £63 and you lose £64.
You run up a lot of small wins in the time it takes before you get that epic 7 wrong in a row. Because it's unlikely it happens first time. But those small wins will not be greater than the amount you lose.
And dude, 6 rebuys is not enough. If you're going to use a system you should have like 20. I mean come on. You could have worked out how many wins you would have before it all went bad yourself. You really thought 64 spins would be enough? Now having enough money to back up 20 or so spins. That gives you nearly 1/1,000,000 odds of losing. Of course it changes nothing in terms of probability, you're still going to lose. But it usually gives you a year or two before you do.
System, lol.
Edit for saving my 3000th post. I don't have to be condescending but I enjoy it. And given your rant about how rigged it was I feel I can justify it.

lol my friend lost £60 the other week from doing the exact same thing.

Remember, the house always owns you.

lol. Yeah well i expected some stick . It hit me pretty hard but i'll get back up and life lesson learned. And yeah kwark, i consider myself to be pretty intelligent, but at the same time equally foolish and short-sighted . I need someone like you in my armoire so that when i have an issue like this i can open it and have you laugh at me for half an hour.
btw this wasn't 'my system' lol! ![](/mirror/smilies/puh2.gif)
I actually really appreciate the time you took to explain that to me, although I understood it the first time because like I said I'm not dumb .
lol @ the guy above me. You really liked this huh.

My roflcopter took off when I read that.

You CAN make money out of roulette as long as you find a "suitable" casino.
Me and a group of friends found a casino whose minimum bet on roulette was £1 (minimum betting on numbers was lower but we never touched the numbers). All we did was play on black or reds. And in any case we lost our bet we just doubled it. So it worked out:
1-2-4-8-16-32-64-128 (£128 was our maximum as we were students ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)
So that's 8 chances that red for example wouldnt come up. Needless to say that didnt happen and we made hundreds and hundreds of pounds each.
Disadvantage: It took about 5 hours to get like £100. And £100 means 100 bets.
The casino figured what we were doing and after a few weeks it raised the minimum bet to £5. We stopped after that.
Also: I would never ever bet on online roulette as there is no croupier and that works against you.

Roulette is a pretty bad game to play anyways. It's solely based on luck. There isn't much you can do to help increase your odds of winning. I play it all the time myself, due to the fact that I just really enjoy playing it for some bizarre reason.
So if you want to win, learn to card count in Black Jack. Or get good at poker.

This doesn't in any way improve your odds. It improves the liklihood of you making money but vastly decreases the amount you make. And you are still likely to lose all your money over 130 spins.
You can make money playing roulette. In fact, 49% chance of the time you will. That doesn't make it a clever investment.

what the fuck is "roulette"?

Sorry I didnt read your post Kwark.
I agree with you. As long as you have a big enough capital you can make money as you say but it takes ages and its definately not a clever investment per bet. But overall it was effective.
We were 4 people that made around £1,500 altogether with this system in about 2 weeks. But it was like a full-time job in terms of time consumed (1,500 bets no joke, little wonder they noticed us). Only once I remember we had like £500 on a color (from £128 x 4) but we were lucky I suppose.
But I still point out that you need a croupier for this to be more effective.
Good memories from my undergraduate days in winter 2000 I've never bet a single pound ever since.
