No, man. Logically, why would they be more than one spike than when it's a lurker vs a melee unit? Are you saying it moves in behind the melee units just for kicks? Doubt it.

Like the other guy said, how would a melee unit continue to attack the lurker if it was moving all about?

Well seeing as how hydra attack is (acid/needle?) spines, and lurker attack is subterranian spines, it seems obvious that the lurk attack is somehow just and upgrade of the spines which hydras spit, so the lurker probably also spits his spines, but just does it from the safety of underground ... yep

The rational explanations are full of holes. Imagine how much ATP would go into digging massive craters (half the area of a tank and deep enough to be "invisible"), producing and propelling lines of high-velocity spines at a fairly quick rate, and then catapulting out of said craters almost instantly. The metabolism necessary to do all of that would be ridiculous. Even more so for a Lurker that actually moves underground that quickly while shooting/retracting spines.

That would suck especially in Space tileset. No oxygen and a super-hard surface. Poor Lurkers :/

Zerg don't exactly need oxygen, they can adapt themselves to travel through space.

Hold lurker isn't a bug. Anyone who says it is is dumb. It's merely a form of micro and I don't know why some people have a problem with it. They must be newbs or something.

its a bug and a form of micro. i dont think the programmers intended for it, but it has become an accepted move by pro leagues, which generally determine what everyone else thinks is fair move
