It was a MSL game I think. Not sure about the exact date but should be early this year. I've watched the replay and VOD several times and Bisu was really doing well on that Reav/Drag drop on Fantasy's main.
Bisu started with BP/BG and went out scouting but he went the wrong direction so he almost run through the whole map until he found Fantasy's main. By that time Fantasy's SCV has already walked across Bisu's buildings before it was killed by dragoon.
There is something confused me though. From Bisu's first view replay I noticed his peon seems never got onto Fantasy's main. Just stayed out of it at the choke and waiting for the dragoon. He had never seen the buildings in Fantasy's home. So how could he probably know if Fantasy's going for a mm rush or tank/vulture as he actually did? Bisu didn't produce any zealot in early game, nor did he build any BC at his main. In that case he was rather vunerable for an early rush. What was he planning to do if Fantasy really went for one?
For Fantasy, it surprised me that he hadn't got any anti air by the time he moved his tank/vulture to Bisu's main. On a map with choke to enemy's main was it a must to have some anti air techs preparing for a very likely drop? Nor did he build any defence at home, which resulted in an instant collapse when Bisu dropped his Reav/Drag in. He did see Bisu's building and there was a BY already there. Clearly Bisu was going for Dragoon instead of zealots?
Well maybe all these was because I'm too newbie -_-!! I'll watch more replays from Bisu though. He's gooooooood
i got all those but what is BY ?? lol...anyways err this is really lame question...if you've ever seen a pvt you should know that these were jus average build orders and that 98% of the games you can assume that an mm rush is not coming and if it is you just use probe+ goon until you can tech to dt/ht....
It's a typical build to go straight to dragoons skipping zealots because of the very high unlikeliness of a MnM rush. Nowadays, people do the vultures/tank pushes and add goliaths later if they find that you're going carriers. Zealots are not used later until the players get legs upgrade and canons are useless except maybe for stopping vultures at expansions late game. Also, Terrans usually siege tanks near their cc/mineral line to stop reaver drops.
I think you just need more experience and play more iccup games/ watch more replays to figure out that the player's actions were all very normal.
ya standard pvt build pretty much from both sides, except bisu's macro just stomped on fantasy once he did the first drop at his main. There was no hope after that point
