I'm just getting back into piano after a long time and my hope is to arrange my own piano covers of songs I like and post them online. I'll need to set up a spot/equipment to actually record myself playing and edit the video like you did and also improve my music theory knowledge so I know how to write my own version of the songs. I figure the first priority is to get my playing skills up to snuff first! I'm working my way through the Simply piano curriculum right now. What type of piano/keyboard is that? | ||

While I don't really care to listen to it again, I think it's quite impressive when I compare it to my own compositions. I like the shifts, not so much the single repeated notes and would have like to hear one double arpeggio in there for some mass, i.e. some sort of climax before a next shift. The fade out is a nice touch, but something impossible to reproduce on a real piano. From my perspective, as someone who also plays piano, I'd prefer an ending you can reproduce live. | ||

I'm not a big fan of fade outs in general, but that may just be me. It always feels like a cop-out to me. | ||

Actually I have written an actual ending too, but it wasn't the moody feel I wanted to produce for this particular video. Yeah I was thinking that was probably the case. As you said, I'm using Simply to get me through the basics. I'm not exactly sure what to do after that, but one thing at a time! | ||
