btw before I give feedback (which is only intended to be helpful, not critical) I just wanna say I love your work, and feel honoured that you read our comments and are actively open to feedback and improving your channel's reach - I really respect that. "KidArtX" is a name that isn't linked to "ThePortraitArt", that is intentional? Makes sense so that people don't confuse your brand as 'noob'. Would help if you would write some text in the description explaining what/who the channel is for Here's user feedback on how I consume your videos: The main problem with drawing time-lapse videos is, the most interesting bits for me are 1. the middle (to see halfway), 2. the end (to see the pretty girl. Dude. SO MANY pretty girls). Whenever I watch, I skip to those two points. I despair at ever learning technique, so I don't watch closely or focus on trying to figure-out technique details. I know (from reports of many YouTube big-names) that YouTube is now getting optimized around viewing minutes, so your videos will get promoted by the algorithm if you can make more engagement throughout videos. Let's think of ways to do that. I really loved your transformation videos and other wacky ways to blend the OUTCOME (final drawing) with the PERFORMANCE (how you made it). I lost my shit when you did the 3x3 grid-cut-rearrange in the Rough Draft music video. Drawings usually only focus on the final outcome. Video can let you show the process. How about you include dynamic change throughout the performance, showing the artwork morphing. Here's a suggestion to get viral: pick popular celebrities, especially ones featured in pop culture heavyweights (Luke Skywalker is perfect, others would include Wolverine, Justin Bieber, Meryl Streep, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gary Oldman, Obama). I know you already know this (*cough* Emma Watson *cough*) Familiar face = more love = more shares. Draw an evolving progression, so that people get entertained throughout the video, not just at the middle/end. Start with young luke, complete him 80% with short hair, pause. Then start making him AGE, adding wrinkles and beard, finally ending-up with the final product. (I got this idea at the second where you started drawing his beard). The thumbnail can be a split-down-the-middle like this: + Show Spoiler [Amazing 1977 Mark Hamill] + This does some important things: 1. Names make things personal. Face + name remind people of the pop culture reference that they love → nostalgia will make them want to click (only face isn't enough). If it's some random pretty girl, still add her name, that'll only increase the mystery and appeal. 2. The Line in the middle shows it's a before/after video, so there's some change going on. 3. The "Young → Old" immediately communicates what's unique about your video, and tells people to watch all the way through to watch the progression. You could also use years "1977 → 2017" + Show Spoiler [Good looking 1977 George Lucas] + I did a search, I can't find any good "Young → Old Drawing Time Lapse" videos. All you'd need to do is pause halfway through to emphasize 'young', then add wrinkles + white hair last for 'old'. The next step would be to see if you could do Old→Young ! (THAT I would be amazed to see). TL;DR Add age-progression to increase viewer retention, make your thumbnails more engaging

Didn't intentionally "un-link" kidArtX with my main channel. Just that it's an easier name to remember for kids. ThePortraitArtKid or KidPortraitArt is a little complicated for a 7 year old. really cool idea! it's something i actually contemplated a while back. Hard to find time these days but I'll definitely try to do one of those at some point. Your dedication to practice, hardwork and honing your craft is evident. Very few have the discipline you have to get this good. 99% perspiration, 1% inspiration, etc, etc. Kudos to you and I hope you make it bigtime.

Anyway, really awesome artwork. I don't get to see much coal artwork, but I love the look of it, everything pop ups, feels 3 dimensional. Really awesome stuff.
