The "Cancerous" SEA Server.
This is probably the most difficult server to play in Dota 2. It doesn't matter if you're high ranked MMR or playing in a pub-match you will have a taste of what it's gonna be like playing in SEA region.
I have been playing in SEA since I started playing Dota 2. I played in Japan and Australia sometimes, only if the SEA is under some kind of maintenance. Ping wise? it's not that bad, some say it's about 200+ that's an exaggeration. That really depends on the internet connection that you're using. So what makes it cancerous then?
SEA might be the most harshest environment to play in Dota. Racism is always present in every game, even towards those players within the same country. Drafting wise? It sucks, you will have a match where everyone is a carry, which I personally call "dream-team". Sometimes, it is frustrating because you will have cores that will just farm all the way up to 40-50 minutes in the game, when you clearly won the game, is just that your cores doesn't seem to wanna win but want's to have a full slotted items on their inventory. There's also a situation where, everyone is fighting who want's to go on mid-lane, which can be avoided since when you see someone drafted a mid-laner, why would you draft another mid-laner as well? Those who play support, is not exempted. You will have supports who want's to play as carry, sometimes you'll get lucky to have a support player who constantly wards, and seems to know what needs to be done in order for the team to win. Most of the time though, you'll have support heroes who just wanna get a lot of kills, and doesn't care about setting-up kills, warding the map, and most especially buying courier. You'll have game in 20-minutes without any courier, because everyone just doesn't wanna buy the damn chicken. Also, some players who play carry roles, doesn't seem to realize the importance of BKB. And they end up blaming their support/initiator because they died during a clash when he just bursted a lot of magical damage from the opposing team. No communications at all, I understand that there's always that language barrier however, we can always choose the preferred language before you find a match in the game. Racism is everywhere, "Peenoise", "Indogs", "Malayshit", etc... you'll hear this almost every match when the blaming starts. Rage quitters also happens, you'll have this a player when he died 3-4 times in the lane he'll just rage quit with zero f's given. The only time that you'll have a decent game where everyone is trying to cooperate to win, is when you're playing at low-priority match.
All that I just mentioned above, is based on my experience, and it is not changing and I think it's gonna be like this for the rest of the Dota 2 history. What you need to do if you wanna play and win in SEA? Well, my approach is I never ever pick first! Forget what role you're comfortable in paying, make sure that you don't pick a hero right away. At least if 4 of your team mates picked a carry heroes, you still have a chance to pick a support that somehow will manage to help all 4 carries. Mute the damn headset/speaker if you easily triggered from racial slurs or prepare yourself for the greatest insult you'll ever have in your life. Sometimes you will have a decent players, but mostly these are the players who has a 2-3 man parties and they usual cooperate but not all the time. Don't buy items right away, you'll end up not having a courier, so make sure you spare a 100 gold for that chicken. You'll gonna have problems with your map vision, and if you're playing a carry role, just make sure to ward your lane from any incoming ganks at least for you to survive and keep on farming. Don't rely too much on your support, and always check the mini-map for missing heroes in lanes since no one will bother to ping or report it. if you wanna lead the team, do it in a very nice way so that they will obey your commands, if you want to call a gank, gather for smoke, or just as simple as requesting your support to put wards.
Would I blame others for labeling the SEA server as "cancerous"? Probably not, given the things that I have experienced, when you do have a good game, I can promise you that it is the most intense game you'll ever play outside the tournaments. I'll admit though that I might be biased because I haven't really tried playing in other servers like in America, Europe and China but you can't deny the fact that it is really a frustrating server to play in. In the end, I just come to accept that this is the community that I'm part of, and we don't really have anyone to blame aside from ourselves. Would I make a difference in order to change the minds of the people about the SEA community? Of course, however I am just another player and it takes all of the players in SEA to change the community. All I can do right now, is to play the game the best way possible and try not to get really emotional or triggered to the harshest environment known to man.

All I can say is I was never a racist until I played in sea dota2 server. Those nationalities you mentioned really deserve their reputation because the majority are behaving like that, not the minority. Over the past years, I have developed the talent of identifying different races through their in-game behavior, sometimes even without them typing a single word.
Sea server not understanding english is a myth. I can't remember the last time I played with a guy who can't communicate with simple english. This server is awful because it consists of awful human beings who refuse to work with their team.

Wow so you guys realize this and 1) play support every game in 5pos unless someone else picked it 2) never lose your temper, Insult other players or whine in-game 3) actually actively bring positive voice to the game, give advice, and work towards improving your team morale , say that's okay if someone screws up and tell them they can do better.
From my experience people like you are the very cancer they complain about and don't do the above, I might be wrong but whiny generalising people tend to behave even worse in-game, and if you do you play the people you deserve

And yeah it's pretty normal, Dota is a high pressure game it's easy to put people on the edge

They should play a few tournament games with a team. After that there is very rarely any pressure in a pub game. One can still tilt as shown by a few pros but in general it is just a pub game after that. Still fun to play but one can't really blame things on pressure.
If they find a team where there is 0 pressure and they perform better than before then they have something rare that they should treasure over pubs. Ending up with the same result.
I can honestly not think of a game that has had near the same pressure as messing up big time at work does, until you start sorting it out and calm down. If it is your job and you are in a play off bracket of a major tournament, then that is more pressure than I have ever faced though.
I will agree that things effect people differently but if you seriously want to flame your team mates over random small stuff you should play 1v1 or single player games instead of team based ones.

No, I mean pressure on your senses - sure it's a 60-200apm game Unilever StarCraft but there's so many things you need to keep track of, variables that can't be mechanically drilled your head will get overwhelmed and frustrations multiply

This is very true... Unfortunately, bad behaviour is self perpetuating... it takes only one person to become slefish for everyone else to go "why should I be selfless when my teammate(s) is/are going to be selfish". I can't tell you how many times I've played pos 5 support... warded, roamed, helped create space, just to see my carry miss 3/5 last hits in lane and get no farm out of the space created... and that's probably happening only because he was pos 5 support last game, got tilted after HIS carry sucked and now he's playing without focus and missing last hits. I think this is the case with all dota servers and all games in general. What you have to do is rise above, in spite of all the players who are playing bad, and take it upon yourself to win, taking full responsibility for your actions and choosing to rise above criticising others. I don't follow this advice. You're all a bunch of noobs.

I completely agree to you sir. I mean, I also blamed myself for getting very frustrated for some of the games and ended up executing "Jimmy plays". Honestly, I really did blamed myself when I lose games, when all I did in the game was whining for my team mates not doing what they're supposed to be doing. But the fact that I am able to post this blog, means that I also realized that there's no one really to blame but myself. As soon as I realized that, my games have been improving. For example, I know that most of the time, players will tend to pick a carry hero, so I just wait which hero it is, and depending that hero I pick a support that will compliment to that hero. I ended picking Dazzle most of the time, with my items consisting of healing, buffs, SOD, obs and sents. I would also check on the map, see what needs to be improved in terms of wardings, also I have to make sure I have a TP always with me just in case there's a need to rotate from lanes. It doesn't work all the time, but even if we lose, I knew that we did everything we could. Also, there are times that no matter how you try, there are just some players who're better than you. But anyway, I love SEA region and I know some of the best pro's in Dota are from SEA as well. By the way I am not generalizing but if that how my post sounds, then that includes me as part of the cancer.

I wouldn't blame you for that, but I don't think that you're being a racist though. It's like swearing, the only reason why you swear is that you want the other person to understand the gravity of the situation, you want to put an exclamation point on your message or whatever. And what better way to get their attention than going to their race. I also did some racial slurs before, but nothing good can come out of it. You will end up exchanging racial slurs to your team mate which will not help your game at all. Adjustment is a huge factor in this server. But then again I could be biased on my post because I didn't play other servers lik NA, China, Europe etc. My pings is at 80-90 in SEA God knows what my ping is to those servers.

FYI, I am not a high ranking MMR player, I just love Dota since Warcraft days. But I really have a huge support in SEA pro's, and China. My all time favorite team is Ehome (sadly they're not doing well right now), and my all time favorite player is HyHy and Mushi. I'm old school, but you know, once you grow old, you're likes and favorites also grows older.

I actually prefer SEA to Australia sometimes.
SEA is cancer yes but people actually understand the game, Australia is chill 90% of the times but some times you sit there wonder why a 3 to 4k player do the dumbest shit possible.

there's no game without trashtalk in SEA,or every servers ?

SEA server is the only place I call home.

I have abandoned games because of the so called honorable races playing on dota 2. And there is a solid reason. You can wait for around 50 mins to help team but they will still make sure thaT YOU loose the games. I have played on europe, america and chinese servers and man they are proper human beings with proper roles and communicate properly. Don't defend the retards on SEA servers. It's impossible to gain MMR because SEA servers is a cancer, full of mutated, retarded humans. So yeah i am a racist because over my 1000 matches i played on SEA servers, maybe 5-10 matches were with proper team and the rest are the reason The terms like pinoys, malaydogs and retards came into being. XD.

The thing is it is just that fcking difficult to gain mmr in SEA server with all this cancerous shit going on, I understand that some people will argue that 'well you probably r just as shit so why u complaining etc....', but if one person just does not want to cooperate with the team or listen to the advice given (which is what we witness in SEA server 90% of the time), how on earth do u expect one to be 'positive' or not insult others? So many fcking players, regardless is it the so-called 'peenoise' or 'indog', don't want to cooperate with the team, or look for objectives, just wanna keep looking for impossible kills like 1v5 scenarios and wanna make their score look good. Players like these are one of the main reasons I really had to just quit Dota for the sake of my sanity.
