A few weeks ago I decided to run for the media position on the committee for my university's snow sports club. Big deal for me personally as it means I'm actually doing something with myself and the club is pretty big with like 700 members so its a decent bit of responsibility. I fookin got dat shit and apparently loads of people voted for me lol which is pretty sweet.
Anyways go me but this means I've been working on filming and editing plus working on a new website (moving away from a wordpress site hosted at wordpress.com)
Site is fucked for mobile atm cos I committed some serious web design sins but whatever.
I spent all day Friday filming a pilot episode for a miniseries we want to start, we're using it to appeal to companies to see if we can get it sponsored to give away a pair of skis as a prize or something which would be super super cool. I'll probably post another blog with it when we release it, it was my first time working with actual microphones for audio and stuff on top of filming so hoping it turns out well.
On top of that stuff I've edited together a sick video showing what our club's like (we're basically a drinking society with some people who ski lmao) and that's being released right now:
Spent many hours filming and editing it to work, was especially hard as I couldn't cross over with our trip edit too much (which is all the footage in the mountains and was filmed by some great guys who were willing to mail me a hard drive with all 500GB of their footage, 90kbps footage lmaoo).
Finally I'm pretty sure I failed my Pattern Analysis exam and I've now finished my second year of uni and my final year's gonna be hard as balls with all this extra media stuff I'm going to be doing but it's gonna be sick.
TLDR: I got elected media guy of my snowsports club for next year, ive made a video about my club and ive finished my second year of uni \o/
Shoutous to the good people of irc, gd and lp (oh wait thats like everyone lol)

indoor slope at milton keynes sometimes, our home slope is a dryslope in gloucester and we race and do slopestyle/big air competitions in edinburgh, gloucester, milton keynes, leeds and the alps.
we also organise and run a 6-700 person week long trip to the alps inbetween the two semesters
edit: but as a general note the slope situation is very bad in the uk, success of people like billy morgan is improving things tho, i think we're getting another indoor slope in bristol now, nederlands and countries with mountains have it much better

this year we went to val thorens and last year we went to les arcs for our trip for competition i think we went to tignes and alpe d'huez
theres a lot of organizational stuff with a trip that large though that makes some resorts not viable
Les trois vallées is great, I've been there a lot but it's so expensive, happily my aunt got a nice chalet there. It's the only ski station where French people introduce themselves in English and then we're all "oh you're French!" xD
