<3 Liquipedia. We always knew it had potential, but it's really amazing to see just how well it's thrived.
A little more behind-the-scenes: Before we even started on the wiki vs forum debate, Chill, Kennigit and Haji were working on a Team Liquid Strategy Database, similar to TLPD. They put a ton of work into it (in some giant spreadsheet, I think), but it was made almost completely obsolete by the wiki. We weren't great at communication back then..

Hard to say. I can only narrow it down to someone with a soul.
(I think PoP actually named it, but I'm not 100% sure. Most of the early discussions were over MSN, so there's no records)

Nice read. I as many others started due to the TSL 3 bracket contest, genius move. Too bad the blog is more focused on recent events, I wanted to read more about things before my time
I don't have time to contribute anymore, but I am glad I did. As a BW contributor, I wish we had a Wiki much earlier actually so much precious information was lost forever. LP hwaiting!

salle said the exact opposite, that the blog was more focused on early stuff...

I just want to see Liquipedia is such an awesome asset, for learning how to play the game, learning the history of the players and tournaments in the scene, it's such a wonderful asset the community has provided for it, and it's something that I don't think many people really appreciate as much as they should. Especially when I look into scenes that doesnt have a Liquipedia, it makes me appreciate the community more.
It feels great to be part of liquipedia and the post gave me new insights about the history before my time (i think i started early 2014) and i have great respect for all those People Who laid the groundwork for what i do

Early days it was sometimes strange ... you sit there in the evening, editing pages of a project you had no idea what would become of it. One great memory is also the meeting at Freiburg in December 2009, where some of the "second generation" (Pholon, flicky and disciple, who did the major work on the second wiki skin) met up. (pics still up here)
Today, Liquipedia is the standard reference and is maintained with a professionalism and dedication that is incredible to watch and that was impossible to forsee in "my days". I am really proud of that and glad to have been allowed to do my small part.
Now that's some good nostalgia.
This blog made me realise how long I actually worked on liquipedia with the others. It felt like a few months, turns out it was closer to two years.
Fuck yeah.
Being allowed to completely overhaul the player pages for so much was amazing. I have fond memories of rewriting practically every BW pro player page, especially the horrifically biased July page, wow.
