does this not put you in an awkward position where you either have to keep spamming undying to stay above 6k, and thus dont really improve much at dota....

or you go back to playing other heroes again and inevitably drop mmr, but probably become a better player?

Did you just want to hit 6k and dont mind going back to 5k?

(note: not saying it takes 0 skill to win with undying. it's just that when you've played pretty much a hundred-ish games in a row with him, you're probably learning a lot less from every extra undying game, compared to other heroes.)

Guarding Greaves are just so insanely good. When my game goes good and i get decent farm from pushing/kills/lasthits, I build into mek if noone goes for it. ON early rosh lineups with low farming prio, I build mana boots into medallion. If I am super poor or someone already has a mek i mostly build into Glimmer.

Glimmer vs Solar:
- Glimmer Forces people to carry dusts/sentries/gem
- Glimmer can prevent heavy magical burst.
- Glimmer can be used to safe teammates
+ Solar can be used for a fast Rosh due to medallion
+ Solar can be used to make one core super tanky or blow opponents up
+ Solar gives decent EHP due to Armor/Evasion

This being said, Solar costs 3k Gold and Glimmer 2k gold. Due to the fact Undying is one of the worst farmers ever, 1k Gold is a lot so most of the time Glimmer it is.

I play officials and Scrims with my team. There is the place for improvement. Pub is just ... a challenge.

Which abusable hero did you spam for 5.9k? Actually curious.

Honestly. Dota is a competitive game, where the goal is to win, what the fucks weird about picking the best heros.
theres nothing "cool" or "edgy" about deliberately making your game harder by playing worse heros and putting yourself at a disadvantage.
if you wanna random or paly other heros then thats fine, if thats what you enjoy, don't dog on people that play heros because they wanna win

I don't get the hate for picking a hero over and over again. It doesn't have to be the OP hero, just something that has space for choices in how to play it and that you like to play. If you play it a lot you will perform better and better due to learning most situations you can end up in and the correct choice there. I probably have 20% of my games since Dota 2 came out on Witch Doctor, great hero and a lot of fun.

You can think of it as a normal sport. Do people flame somebody for picking a position and become the best at it? Ronaldo is a bad defender, he just spammed forward...

It's unfun to start the game at a colossal disadvantage because the enemy picked ridiculous shit like undying/earth spirit
when somebody does that every game people aren't happy u know, hence the backlash.

I aint judging in this particular case but I can't deny it's hella annoying when ppl just pick those heroes.

I find it fun facing the same heroes over and over. Let's me try out a lot of different ways of solving the situation. I never have the same heroes on my side, at most it is the same heroes in the game, still a large variance possible. Lanes won't even play out the same game to game due to people having their own ideas of what to buy and how to skill.

Take undying, some people level tomb stone level one. Makes for a very different lane compared to normal.

On the contrary though, I wouldn't mind losing games if it was a chaotic heavy action game. I find that way more fun than winning because the enemy has no storm/naga counters. Thats why I enjoy sing's stream whenever he stacks with tucker/arise/bangfish/akroma
