I mean you could do both systems and use one as an override but to me it just seems easier for Tournaments to update GameHeart to support the latest maps, rather than coerce mapmakers who've possibly never heard of GameHeart to create their maps correctly. | ||

Doing both is pretty much exactly what the system is designed to do. It checks for an 'override' option in GameHeart based on data from the map, and if there is no override it uses the points the map creator has placed. If there is no override, and no points, then the large logos will not be placed. | ||

In my opinion there's not much reason not to close the gaps shown in this screenshot so we get more actual viewing for the center of the screen. (I'm on 1080p) http://i.imgur.com/pZQAhIz.jpg Edit: Also I'm very much looking forward to the next interface file that you imaged. It looks very good and useful, even though having the unit box at the top will take some getting used to. | ||

The reason the items are free floating instead of resting on the bottom of the screen is because there has been growing concern about viewing interfaces that put the information directly on the bottom of the screen during live events. With the information at the bottom like that, audience members often cannot see the information because it is behind the head of the person in front of them. While each of these interfaces may turn out to be flawed in the end, I think it is important that we explore new ideas and ways of presenting this game to viewers. I promise you we haven't found the perfect solution yet, but already everyone is resting into a standard setup of leaderpanel top left, minimap bottom left, resources top right, unit info bottom right, and player IDs top center. Almost every tournament is doing this and I do not believe it is the best way to present Starcraft. With that in mind I want to take this opportunity to explore new ideas rather than to just polish what we already have. We may eventually find the best solution by combining some of the ideas from each design, who knows? | ||

I like the look of the A tempests more... however, I feel that on stream (especially if it's not a 1080p stream with twitch behaving perfectly) option B is probably better for viewers. As a caster and observer I have some additional interface feedback I'd rather provide in a PM if you'd be interested (been using GH classic and tested several different interfaces). I like the idea of player trophies! However, as some have mentioned it might be something that's up the the tournaments. A weekly / monthly tournament might like the idea of showing off that a participating player has placed top 3 at a major tournament AND the current tournament where as the major tournament probably only wants to advertise the previous achievements in said tournament (not even other major tournament wins). Last, awesome to see you supporting Rumble in the Bronze (and childsplaycharity.org)! I really have a hard time to see why so many tourneys still dont use your work :/ Also regarding the wasted place at the bottom of the Interface file, the live audience explanation makes sense, but then why not make another version with no space at the bottom for the online-only events (or even just watching replays/observing games alone) | ||

New colossus looks amazing! The upgrade countdown, as someone suggested, should use three digits for a dramatic increase. It looks really, really good. I prefer the way old GH had the info at the bottom of the screen, rather than the top, as suggested in the picture. Someone posted an idea about a battle cam - I think it looked really good. | ||

So here is some feedback from a Caster perspective: - Please show the mapname, I always forget it when doing introductions - The income panel when not selecting anything was great, please bring it back - Permanent Army count from the previous version was also great, along with the workers lost when hovering over the worker icon - If a player selects yellow as his player color, you can't read his name Keep up the great work, g-shock | ||
