SC2Gears has an extended APM (XAPM) feature, which includes

- camera hotkey usage
- (left) clicking on the mini map to move your screen
- clicking on the portrait of the selected unit to center the unit on the screen
- pressing the space key to center the location of the latest event

How much extra apm do you end up with if you include XAPM? I've noticed that normally people in the games I play get about 10-20 extra, whereas I'm getting 25-40 extra. I guess I use camera stuff a bit more often o.O. I'm curious to know what the numbers are like for you guys.

I rely on the camera a lot, I'm literally getting a 50 - 80 boost... of course it really depends on the game but generally I see at least a 50 increase from what I normally had before although I'm playing the same.

I was under the impression camera hotkeys and minimap clicking were already counted actions, that's how it worked for the most common BW counters, right?

same here..

Anyways I reinstalled sc2gears, got the update, got da java going and all.....

In one of my games, it says that in a 24 minute game against a guy i was playing, he had 9 apm (7eapm). I had 178 apm and 128 eapm....

seems a tad off

There appears to be a somewhat seldom used hack going around that somehow blocks out all actions except for camera moving, which results in really low apm. At least, the one person I've run into with that pretty much claimed to be a hacker without provocation.
