Technically they don't, but there is an edge "new power" which gives you a new spell, so practically you could just count your spells as edges.
Btw, the reason Frederico didn't mindread you is that the culture in J'var does not really trust wizards, even licensed ones. So the guards can conscript people like Frederico whenever they want to, but they really try to avoid getting them involved and don't trust their results. This works differently in some other countries. But Arcane spellcasters are still not overwhelmingly present elsewhere either. About one in five thousand is able to learn arcane spellcasting if he gets the correct training.

So many options, I kind of want to learn earth manipulation because it would go best with my character, but I don't how useful it would be.

That reminds me, the powers in SW are defined by the effect they have, so it would be nice if our casters would think about how exactly they manifest those effects. For example, how do you wallwalk? Maybe you grow some suction cups like an octopus, or your hands and feet just become very sticky. You guys can be creative with this, just make up something cool that works with your character.

I think, that I am going with learning streetwise at d4. Being brought to jail, getting robbed, hanging out with hobos for a night, I surely learned some stuff the hard way.

I'd love a write-up of what happened after I had to leave! I had a good time playing even tho it was only 2-3hours for me today. What happened with the rapist in the adjacent cell? Is the rest of the party banned from Jarlsville? Im very curious. I dont think I could have done much to help because any involvement would have made me a suspect and likely get me arrested.
Did you decide a day for next time? Did Wednesday work?

No, weekdays don't appear to work too good, so depending on if i am able to make it, it is either this next sunday (24). or the weekend after. I'll try to find out as fast as possible if i will be somewhere where i can play on the 24.
The party is not banned from Jarlsville, they managed to get out of prison by ratting out John Strange's Hideout location to the watch. Ragosion got all his shit stolen by hobos, and Philipp's god decided that he was lying too much (his god is called Veritas for a reason) and took away his powers until he does penance. He got a nice new staff, though. The rapist is probably still in his cell, no one appeared to be too interested in him.
Also, i don't think i will be doing the long writeups anymore, it is much more fun to see you guys explain to each other what happened during the last weeks play, and it avoids the problem i have had of me either having to write everything that happens or putting emphasize on things you might not even have thought of as interesting.

I sadly won't be able to play this weekend, stuff did not work out the way i hoped it would. Meaning we are looking for a new time, i suggest next weekend, which also appears to be easter. Do you guys prefer saturday 30th or sunday 31th? i guess we'll be going with 16:00 or 14:00 again. Please write which one you prefer.

I have no plans for that weekend yet, so I would be ok with whatever the others prefer.

Either day is fine, I prefer 16:00 but 14:00 works as well.

It just occurred to me that my not being available this weekend does not necessarily mean that you don't get to play. If one of you wants to set up and lead an oneshot, that would enable you guys to still play. I'd gladly offer my assistance in planning that while i am still in the land of internet. It could either be set in a different part of the world we play in, or somewhere completely different.
Also, please more responses with availability times for the easter weekend.
