Just some public information regarding daylight saving crap. we(EU) first gonna change on the 31 march while USA changed today i belive. just so we dont get confused about when we play i would think we go after EU times?

Yes, we do. At the moment, that means we play at 14:00 CET. I think if we get daylight savings here it is called CEST. Why does time have to be so complicated. Anyways, i'll always use the time here in germany when expressing a time. Should be the same for the denmark and sweden guys, and the americans will have to calculate.

I think i will, since there will rarely be all of us playing at each session so it will help the others keep up. Depends on how much time i got, but this week it shouldn't be a problem.

The problem with the rolling commands is that we don't have real dice, that would make everything a lot easier. You can do most of it by hand, though, the longer formulas are just there to automate procedures. If you like it more i can just tell you which dice to roll and then do the calculations myself.

I lost count to how any punched you.. Well I had a great time playing. Next week I think I can take a more active part and do some more roleplaying whith my character. Now that im more used to how things work. I think I can figure out the rolling as well. It seemed preety straight forward. Ill get used to it. I hope I wont have the delay next week!

Really, rolling stuff is not that important. Ideas and play are what this game is about, and you did fine on those. As a player, you really don't even need to know the rules unless you play some kind of powergaming campaign (which we do not). Sure, it helps, because it takes a bit of pressure off of me, but it is not really necessary. And since we are running a campaign for people who are new to this it is also not expected (well, that was the original thought, but i also really wanted to run this adventure which has been in my head for some time now, and even though it is a bit more complicated you guys seem to be handling it fine and having fun. Stuff will make a lot more sense the more you find out what is going on, which is part of the theme of this adventure).

I guess i could also do a better job at explaining the rules, but as i said, i see them as something secondary which is necessary for the game to work, but not the actual focus of it. If you really want to find out more about how the rules work, you can always ask me, or look stuff up yourself if you want to. I don't know how much of this is available for free online, but we are playing with the Savage Worlds basic rules. But this is in no way necessary to play.

Oh, now that i remember, you guys also got experience. You gained 2 XP today, which puts everyone who was here on both days (Brickadin, Philipp) at 5 XP, meaning you have earned stuff. You can either :

Gain a new edge (You can look those up in the Herolab program)
Raise one skill that is at the value or above the corresponding attribute
Raise two skills below the corresponding attribute
Raise one Attribute (You can only do this once per rank, and each rank consists of 4 Raises. So at 20 XP, you are no longer a beginner, but now seasoned. At 40 XP you would be a veteran, etc...)
Gain a new skill at D4 value.

Yeah I had a lot of fun too. I think the most telling moment might have been when someone asked Phillipp "Are you insane?" and he said "Yes... I guess" or whatever it was, and had earlier said he wouldn't lie. ^^ Seems about right.

I really, really hope I'll be able to play next time.

And yay at new stuff!

I'll lay out how I'm thinking here, and you guys, Simberto or anyone else can tell me if I'm doing it wrong.

I'm already pretty good at fighting, so I think I'll try to round out my character a bit. Then I can spend any gold I get on raising fighting prowess anyway by getting better equipment.

Raising notice and streetwise seems very useful. I think I'll focus on those over fighting or stealth stuff right now. Since I have D4 in both skills and only D4 in smarts which they are based on I'll spend my stuff raising smarts from D4 to D6 first, and then next time maybe both of those two skills, and they'll be nice and cheap. If we end up in a more hostile environment when it's time for the next raise I could just flip around and raise fighty skills or whatever else if I change my mind.

...or should I just raise my dancing skills for future employment opportunities? :D

You might also want to take a look at the higher tier edges (seasoned, veteran etc..) for stuff you would like, there are some pretty cool ones in there for which you might want to reach the prerequisites before you reach that tier. I would generally try to avoid trying to be good at everything, because that is not really something you can achieve, but you also don't have to specialize extremely. Basically, do what you think would fit Brickadin most, and in which way you want to develop him.

There are always ways to utilize whatever skills you have, you just might need to get creative if they are a bit weird. I once played a weird sect priest with absolutely no combat skills in a cyberpunk concernwar and was just as useful as the guy with the big gun.

At the moment i am mostly asking you to do notice rolls and similar things because you mostly run around and try to see interesting things or talk to people. I guess i should use your social skills more often, but i tend to forget that when i play out a scene. I definitively need to work on that. However, the rest of your skillsets mostly depends on you actively doing something. You won't have to do throwing rolls unless you throw stuff around.
