I don't exactly have anything prepared today, but we could do some sort of oneshot in a simple system like FATE?

We played a game set in 1946, after the Nazis won World War 2 and conquered all of europe with the help of their Reichsflugscheiben-aircrafts and the occult division of the SS led by Reichsführer SS Heinrich Himmler. Something is going on at Stonehenge. A large area called Sperrgebiet Steinkreis is locked up by SS troops, and noone knows what is going on inside. A small groop of british resistance fighters managed to swindle their way inside, and thwarted a hideous dark ritual of unimaginable magnitude by crashing Himmlers very own Flugscheibe into Stonehenge itself, blowing up the place and the ritual itself, then escaping in an incredible act of daring-do. But something else, something utterly dark and terrifying, has escaped with them...

To be honest, i would kind of prefer not to run two campaigns at the same time. It is hard enough to keep people focussed on one campaign. And running the second rate campaign that gets played when nothing else works doesn't sound like too much fun either. I am going with the assumption that i will be running something, as noone else has implied any interest in running a game as far as i know. I have two ideas for campaigns that i am interested in running. One involves Mad science at the turn of the 20th century, and will involve a lot of worldbuilding too. The basic idea is that the great scientific minds of the 19th century fit the mad scientist archetype. So we would have someone like Darwin producing genetic abominations to rule Britain (and then the world!), Nikolai Tesla accidentally removing Russia from the timestream, Freud mindcontrolling the masses in Austria, stuff like that. Of course there would be lots of other Mad Science going on too. This would be a more lighthearted game, and i would probably run it in FATE Core with some modifications, mostly to the skill list, to better fit the setting. The second involves you creating contemporary characters, to which something extraordinary happens that changes their view on the world. I don't want to go into too many details because i really would like to do this "something" in some sort of RP. Probably via PMs, because it happens to each of you individually, but is kind of too similar to play out multiple times. This would be something quite different from things we have played so far in a few key aspects. Due to an additional complication i would probably go for some sort of a really rules-light approach, but don't worry, you will have enough to crunch to keep your minds occupied. Sadly, both of those require a bit more preperation, so i doubt we could do any of those on sunday. So i would propose to continue our counternazi adventures this sunday.

Sucks that you might not be able to play regularly anymore Jack. I suppose we'll have to see how it turns out, but yeah, running two longer campaigns at the same time, is going to be confusing at best. I could also do DnD or something on Sunday, if people want.

I love the concept Sim initially pitched where we'd be a bunch of Frankensteinesque scientists and their creations, so I'm looking forward to that, I've even got a few concepts of characters I'm thinking about. The nazi adventure, I don't know, I'll admit to not being sold on it immediately, but it was fun once we played it, and it'll be interesting to continue on. Maybe it'll be interesting enough even for Andew to stay awake the entire session now that his traveling is over...?

Which leaves us at the point where we need something to play this sunday. My idea would be continuing against the nazis, but i could also try to make up a victorian murder mystery, or something else entirely. Or maybe someone else wants to run something?

I quit my job because I'm moving (again yay) and now I'm awake when the people on my side of the world are awake. I'll adjust

I get my schedule on thursdays, though I talked to my manager and he said that because I'm the new guy I'd likely get weekends scheduled because of veteran employee favoritism.

We are now writing the year 1913. (Except in parts of the Austrian empire and eastern Europe, where it has been the 17th of April 1879 for ~35 years now). Immortal Charles Robert Darwin rules parts of England from atop the megalomanical many-legged monstrosity William Erasmus. Marie and Pierre Curie fly about the irradiated wastelands of central France in their boastful blimp powered by the might of atomic fission. Sigmund Freuds mesmerized minions do battle with Christian Dopplers wilful waveforms over the remainder of the Austrian Empire. These are just examples of things going on. There is a lot more you can add. How do you fit into this world? If you wish to further expound on any area or concept, or add anything, feel free to do so. (You could go"Ok, i am a spanish giant robot foot, and spain is like this.") If you wish to have or not have something in the campaign, now is the time for that. I am also open to suggestions as to what you actually wish to do in this world. If you don't have any, i will come up with something on my own. The general tone i had in mind was lighthearted mad science. So crazy stuff like creating a sentient hamster swarm that wants to eradicate humankind is totally fine. No mythology or supernatural this time around though, sciencing stuff works so well nothing like that is needed. I will probably work on the skill list of FATE a bit, any ideas of stuff you would like to have in there? The one addition i am sure of is that i want a Mad Science skill, probably with stunts like "Mad geneticist" or "Mad physicist".

On a dark stormy night of April 17th, Johann activated his mind-transfer device just as lightning struck his laboratory. Things did not go as planned. A small rodent wandered into his lab and had its mind ripped from its body and shoved into the metal titan. With nowhere else to go, Johann's consciousness went into the only other viable target in the room, the cleaning robot Heinrich, sweeping in the corner. Johann had no chance to fix the error, as a clap of thunder spooked the 9' metal titan, which promptly scurried away, destroying half the laboratory in the process. Heinrich, now Johann, is currently living the dream... kind of. He no longer needs to eat or sleep, and his studies have become far more efficient. However he is still held back by his new found compulsion to keep things very neat and orderly, and an unattended spill is completely unacceptable. Will edit in world stuff later.

I have a few questions here. If you would rather have some answers not public, you can obviously always PM me. Motivations: What motivates you to leave your laboratory and do stuff in the world? (This can be expanded as a question to everyone, what do you actually want to do in the world?) Do you have any short- or long-term goals i should know of? Do you have any other unresolved story hooks or problems in your past? Any relevant enemies or friends outside of the party? What happened to your original body, and do you care ?(Logically, it should be Henry inside it now. Or the marvellous metal monstrosity) If you wish something like that to come up during the game, remember that i can't read minds. What kind of robots do are you and do you make? Electrical, steampowered, maybe clockwork? Or something else? Do you do anything else mad sciency other then building robots?
