Yet another year has passed by, and the common ground we all know and love is still thriving. I want to extend my thanks to all of you. Starcraft has the best community I have ever been a part of in a video game. However, it isn't only what we are like inside the game that matters, but also outside as well. The majority of people in this scene are very kind, warm-hearted people that just want to have a good time together, whether that be in competition or entertainment.
I joined the scene 2 months after the Wings of Liberty release, and I am so glad I did. This scene has seen a lot of people come and go, but we always continue to be a group. Having constant tournaments running keeps the scene fresh and thrilling, while also allowing the community to rely on its old faithfuls. Homestory Cup, MLG, GSL, and many other tournaments allow us all to come together and enjoy the game we love, while sites like Team Liquid and Reddit gives us access to the streams, coverage, and community talks we all enjoy. I want to say thank you on behalf of the Starcraft community for continuing to run such amazing events and being such great people.
I hope you all have a great 2013 filled with promotions, goals being breached, and happiness. Continue to do what you love. Be successful, be happy, be healthy. I look forward to experiencing another great year with all of you.
Sincerely yours,
Joe "Dragonfly"
