I recently made a costume for renaissance faire with my mom, who is an amazing hobbyist seamstress. Being one of my projects, of course it was a rush job. When my mom had to run an errand, I decided to sew a couple of seams on her machine. I had been watching her do it all through my childhood--how hard could it be.
It was then that I learned that there are actually two spools on a sewing machine, the main spool and the bobbin. I had never known of its existence. In about 20 seconds I had ground the machine to a jam and created a massive snarl of thread.
I then made things worse by taking the machine apart to figure out how it works and "fix" it. I spent about 1.5 hours getting the machine back together (and actually learned something about how it worked) but I couldn't make it go--it would jam immediately.
My mom got home and fixed it in like 30 seconds.
We finished the costume (I can actually manage a hot glue gun) and everything was great.
I am massively impressed by your talent--not just because you can work the machine, but I know how counter-intuitive it can be to try to cut flat fabric to take a 3d shape.
You rule.

Just out of curiosity, what did you use to model your baneling? Blizzard art or zoomed in on the picture, or something else?
How much of this was done my machine and how much purely by hand?

This is amazing work! I would buy this so hard if this was a blizzard-licensed thing (cause I know some other artists got in hot water for selling starcraft sculptures)
