EPTHer interest was small because she has never played the game, so when the first few games were being shown, they left her a little underwhelmed after what I told her about what happened last MLG Anaheim. So, to kill the time, I brought her to the HotS stations to play against Easy A.I. where she could see how difficult this game can be and so she can have a larger appreciation for it.
We got back to our seats and it was time for the MKP vs Stephano match. As I sat there in anticipation to see one of my favorite Zergs take to the battlefield, my girlfriend seemed somewhat uninterested. The games began and by the middle of game 2, she was screaming at the stage, "Throw that green goo on them!" and covering her eyes mumbling to herself, "Did he (Stephano) win yet? I can't watch, its killing me." I never thought that she would get so into it like myself. Its such a heart warming thing to see and know that she is actually interested in this awesome community of ours.
So this is a blog update/thank you to all of MLG Anaheim competitors, spectators, and staff. It was an incredible event and next year, we will be there again yelling, covering our eyes, and rooting for our favorite players.
