Guess what, no one cares if you're rank 1 or rank 2. You'll likely get promoted anyway, and your division rank has nothing to do with it.
Division rank below master is mostly a measure of activity, anyway. Caring about your ladder rank will only stunt your growth as a player.

Seriously though, the points blizzard released were a good indicator of promotion, but they're by and large meaningless, as long as you don't lose points, you'll probably still go up, but hey, what does that matter, the only change is the icon, may as well get used to your key setup!

Obviously he cares. Different players have different goals. His is obviously being rank 1.

I don't care much about rank but I've been rank 1 for about 3 weeks and IF I get sniped out of it I'll laugh. I just would like rank 1. I don't care about how it doesn't signify anything but activity. My goal is masters (duh!) but more immediate goals that are immediately obtainable through out the journey makes the journey that much better. It isn't where you end up its how you get there that matters.

SO I have to hope that I'll get Rank 1 Plat (sad IKR?) and then I'm 80% sure i'll get placed diamond S7 and with new hotkeys... back to plat i'll go! IT wasn't broke so why did I fix it?

I guess my biggest clause was that, lategame TvP I have ghosts on 1 control group and MMMV on another and my vikings get out of position horribly. Also I'm terrible with drops. Probably the biggest thing though was watching Sheth vs Servoya. Where it turned out 3 army control groups isn't enough to control Marine/tank/ghost/viking/raven/thor/marauder. So if 3 isn't enough, how is 2?

Just curious, instead of changing everything up, why didnt you just practice spamming 1a2a3a4a over and over every day until it became muscle memory?

Uh... you are surely joking right? Division points in platinum league... and you're concerned about having some kind of optimal hotkey setup? Hotkeys don't even matter that much. You could get into high masters using one hotkey for CCs, one for production, and two for army if you wanted to.

I think he meant custom hotkeys don't matter, since he said you can get into high masters with just minimal hotkeys.
You're trying to find an easy way into Diamond, it's not going to really happen if you change hotkeys. Keep playing instead of worming around trying to find the easy way out.
