So last year i was blocked from FB and that was hard to get back... now I'm suddenly block from JTV? I was streaming SC2

Anyone been blocked before?

I didn't stream GSL on screen or anything, I didn't talk sexually to someone under 18, I didn't use a proxy, I didn't do whatever they suggested might be the reason.

The only thing I think may be the reason was my music. But I was listening to fan remixes from the video game series Touhou. Usually these songs aren't even copyrighted. But if they are, they aren't even marketed outside of Japan so is that really a problem? =/

What did you get blocked from FB for?

From the information you have provided it looks like it was the music. How long was your stream running for at the point you got blocked?

well today I streamed 3 hours, then 1 hour later I check my channel and it says I'm blocked =/

(Oh about FB, it's cus I wasn't using my real name)

But I don't think they have something that "checks" to see if a streamer is playing copyrighted music do they? (like youtube, where they can recognize tracks)

Again, I was listening to fan remixes, I doubt one of them would report me to JTV (though possible) but if JTV does have something that checks to see if I'm playing copyrighted music, would they actually have those fan made tracks?

Your channel isn't blocked though. If it was a DMCA issue, twitch would have to take down your entire channel.
What do you mean exactly when you say you are blocked?

Whoaaa wait! I think I've been unblocked!

Earlier, when I tried to view my VODs, it would say grey out and say something like: JTV no longer supports this broadcast

And instead of seeing the "suggested channels" panel, it would just say a message from JTV something like: This account has been blocked from all services for violating the terms, please click here to find out why you may have been blocked

Now I can view my VODs and I don't see the block message anymore.

If they read my support ticket that fast, then hurray :D

One Cause:
If you use Opera Web Browser, and Opera Turbo activates (Due to bad internet speed/ dropping) You will get this message on twitch.tv and justin.tv.
Simply turn off turbo and all will be fixed.
(I would assume clearing your cache would do the same since Turbo just saves Web pages statically to alleviate your low internet speed)

From what I read in the twitch.tv chat the stream was dropped because the computer crashed so yup... you were never truly blocked!

Apparently some douche must have reported me >.< He kept BM'ing me to change my name, then when I found out I got blocked I was like... really? lol

(yea, maybe I shouldn't add so many people I'm not too familiar with ^^)

And apparently with reports, usually they will block you before reviewing the case. Saves them time I guess, though it's quite dicky... I mean, would it really hurt that much to wait a couple days before blocking them, to give them time to prepare evidence? xD
