So, my laddering today went like this: 7 wins, 8 losses. Wins: 4 Terrans, 3 zergs Losses: 8 Protoss.
What? How can I be so freaking bad at a match-up. I'm at a complete loss, I feel like a tear my hair out every time my army gets obliterated by a colossus ball, or immortal ball, or some 2 base timing. Even when I feel like I get ahead in a match I just lose it to an A-move. By the end of the night I was 6-pooling every game versus toss, as it just feels like a waste of time trying to play them at the moment. Zerg = Very easy win Terran = Pretty stressful, but generally winning Protoss = lol.
I'm such a whiner, but I have to write it down somewhere.
Doesn't help that I was meant to be doing some casts of some games tonight (Just a small channel me and a mate run) but the other guy didn't even come online. Ah well.

My mind is so loose in my head

Dude I know how you feel, I am trying to get gold league before the season lock but every time i get like a 10 game winning streak and hit rank 1 silver, it will match me up against Pvp and Pvz, my worst match ups and I will loose like 7 games in a row too bullshit, so believe me I am right there with you.

I'd like to introduce you to a guy named Park Jin Young. He's a Protoss player who is pretty good in PvP and PvZ, but his PvT is terrible. You might also know him as JYP.
It happens to even the best of us.

He's loosing his mind. And I'm reaping all the benefits. *slowly closes curtain*

See I am opposite, I find PvT SO EASY, but the other match ups just leave me frustrated.

Just keep playing. Go over your games and figure out what you did wrong, and don't make that mistake again. Copy Stephano or DRG builds/timings and do what they do, scout and respond and you should be in great shape. Losing is stressful though, my pvT is absolutely abysmal right now so I can relate

Feel the same bro i just lost against 5 protosses in a row lolz
|
Hopefully you can tighten it.

same here...except im trying to do a factorial anova by hand and get a negative F value for the interaction, and incredibly insignificant F values for factor A and factor B...and the next part of the assignment asks us to draw a graph of the significant results, then say whether or not there was a significant interaction and why. sigh

Post some replays and I'm sure people would be glad to help

playing protoss feels like bashing my head against a wall

Don't worry i lost mine last year at bisco..

I feel the same way, so hard

Same here bro. Every single pvz it's cannon rush -> 6gate or stargate+gates or some bullshit. Why can't I just have my way with toss lol. :p
The other day a guy even mothership rushed me and won, vortexed my entire army and just killed nat and 3rd. So lame.

At a loss for what to do against Toss. + Show Spoiler +I heard it is a common malaise of the StarCraft community
Revealing what your race is would aide in people's ability to help you out, by the way. I know your icon says zerg but things change and people forget.
Anyway, I can sympathize.

Seeing as your already losing every game vs toss, just do whatever the fuck you want, have fun with it. See what happens when you try to do a bane bust or some shit. If the deathball is your problem, just go with relentless aggression. After the 5min mark, try attacking every minute, on the minute. What do you have to lose?

get 3 bases off double robo colossus to defend ezpz. if you can't handle early game (to get 2 base safe) then you probably won't benefit from this advice and just need to work on basics..
off 3 base stop at about 8 colossus, get +3 (start armor afterwards), start teching chargelot + archon and tech towards mothership. your goal is to hit a 3 base timing with colossus + archon + mothership BEFORE your opponent has vortex.
Attack when you have enough energy for vortex (maxxed of course, your last supply should be mainly in archons) Vortex the bulk of his army (colossus pref) and you will simply win. If he does not have a vortex and you do, you will win.
Wins all of my PvPs in master league if I get to this point. People just don't tech to mothership quite this fast. The thing is, when you're on 3 base with 8 colossus youre opponent can't really attack into you so you ARE safe to tech up to mothership asap. Vortex is so so so key in this matchup's endgame.
you're welcome ~~~~

i used to have major issues in pvt, while i won most pvz's and pvp's.. after that i started playing around a bit with terr and it really helped me to understand the race better.. not much else you can do except trying to regain your confidence in the mu..

Zerg, and I keep forgetting that I'm not meant to be able to beat them, silly me.
|
I suggest 2-3 base Baneling drop shenanigans. Tosses at least at Plat level are WAAAAY too bad to cope with anything like that.
|
Interesting I play random, and out of all the match up's i feel ZvP is probably the easiest for me, I dont do anything fancy just mass roaches of 3 bases and deny the his third.
