Absolutely nothing, because I didn't want anything.
Well I lied, I got the Guinness Book of Records so that we can read it at my granddads, and a old retro looking microphone for 10 quid, but other than that. Not a thing. And I'm happy with it.
The reason why I am blogging this is because all my friends find this awfully peculiar, as does my family. You see I play video games, but I only play specific ones, to death. Games such as Skyrim, Team Fortress, SC2, LoL etc... and I am completely content with it, so content that I really wouldn't want to play some other games that my friends have gotten, or a new phone they have got, or a new MP3 Player they have. I have always done this.
As a child I probably completed Fable 1 about 10 times, completed KOTOR 1 & 2 about 20 times overall and a lot of other games over and over and over...
I'm just wondering if any of you are in a similar circumstance.

I feel kinda the same. I didn't ask for anything in particular aside borrowing a credit card to buy my Das last month (which isn't really a present). I only play 1 or 2 games at a time, usually multiplayer ones. ^^.
Its certainly peculiar but it means that we're content. Unless, of course, you're not content with yourself.

I got gaming accessories and clothes. I didn't want anything because I don't have my own money to buy gifts for my family so I really really didn't want to feel bad come Christmas.
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, I didn't get anything too big thankfully.

That's pretty cool. My personality is all about finding contentment, and I feel I'm pretty good at it, but you're pretty freaking sick at it it looks like. Good gift you have I'd say.

I didn't get anything either! A bit of money from grandparents which was nice to have a bit of spending cash for the holidays, but some of that was birthday money too, since my birthday is two days before Christmas. My parents on the other hand decided to go gift-free this Christmas because it's overall a fairly stupid tradition and I agree, so no boxes were opened in my home this holiday. It was nice, all my friends think I'm weird too =P

Well, I'm graduating from high school this year and I know my parents are already buying me stuff as a graduation gift so I didn't ask for Christmas presents (neither do I particularly need any).
|
I basicly asked for no gifts this year. My mother gave me and my brother a trip to NYC for 2 weeks and my brother and i havent given each other any presents in years.
Anyhow my mother ended up buying me a OnePiece which i really love(Be casual clothes ever!)
I really dont like all the presents stuff at all with christmas, i generally just like it since i get to get some awesome food and get to see most of my family instead

Yea...I don't really want anything which kinda sucks because I have 6 sisters that are 29+ years in age that all want to give me something. I don't want to respond with "money" but money to pay off school is all I really need =/

I asked for nothing but a couple t-shirts, a toothbrush and a hoodie. I knew I would get more than that but that is honestly all I wanted, things I could put to good use.
I got a couple new t-shirts and the toothbrush but no hoodie, other things I got were 2 boxes of chocolate (one of which my dog ate and I had to make it throw it up) and a couple gift cards for walmart, and the big thing was a ticket to a hockey game with my brother which was a nice surprise.
I'm perfectly content with that and btw I'm the same as you when it comes to playing videogames as I stick with the same one for months if not years (BW)

Haha I haven't really received gifts for like years now. This year I did kind of get something(a new graphics card and power supply) on black friday that I counted as a christmas present. There's not really anything I need, I have my computer, I have my xbox and my cell phone. I have clothes that fit and food in my refrigerator... don't really need anything else.
|
The trick that Ive always used is not asking for anything until I actually wanted something. Then my parents would be inclined to buy said present for me.
|
I bought myself a bunch of Steam sale games for Christmas. Some relatives sent me a bit of money, but that's about it. My friends and I agreed not to exchange gifts this year.
Yep.

5/5 for fable 1. I played the shit out of that game, probably my favorite game on the xbox. fable 2 was such a let down
|
I asked for money since I really couldn't come up with anything else other than a totally new laptop but since my current laptop had a really bad battery I asked for that. They were like "you don't want ANYTHING?!?" I'm like "nope, can't come up with anything." They looked at me like I was coocoo. they being my family. When I get back to HS my friends are gonna be giving me looks too. I got a coat on my birthday and that was it and that was 2 weeks ago.

I envy you, such a nice quality to have in these times of overconsumption.
