I don't often enjoy voicing my opinions on being critical about E-Sports events but I just want to voice my opinion about those currently set for HomeStory Cup 4. I am saying all this just on those who have been invited and qualified.
As both the NA and EU qualifiers have been determined, and Puma has been announced as an invite, I just want to point out the lack of Grade A NA representation. I mean the three who qualified, violet (not NA), Attero, and KawaiiRice. I mean they are good players but unless players like Idra, Sheth, Huk, ect. get invited, NA will have a rather minimal representation.
Plus I hope to see more invitations be sent out, so we can see the likes of Stephano, White-Ra, Sase, Thorzain, ect. Because without these heavy hitting names, the tournament kinda feels like a let down compared to its predocessor.
I just wanted to say something about it, not giving them any flack about the sit having massive issues on the first day of qualifications, that happens to non super mainstream events.
What do you guys think, Attero, KawaiiRice and violet really show the NA power that exists?
*Edit*
US Qualifiers EU Qualifiers

Kawaii does when he's not being self deprecating.
Attero is good, violet is good. They all could really show up and do damage, but they are inconsistent.

Could you provide a link for the brackets? And even so, good for Attero and Kawaiirice for winning the qualifers but I assume if a big big US/EU power would be wanting to compete then Take would contact them and just invite them. I think a qualifer like this is the only opportunity lesser known players to a certain extent can afford to go to these abroad LANs and get their name out there.

sorry if you think I'm bad. I would give that same judgement of my own play in that qualifier since I played at like half my skill level (lol losing because I didn't put out 2 pdds was god awful). Hopefully that isn't the case at HSC4 if I can go oo~

yeah, i'm pretty sure Idra and Huk are invited (though their team would have to pay for the travel expenses). I remember Idra saying on ITG that it isn't sure yet if he'll go. Unless EG wants him to he won't, because he'd rather stay in the Slayers house and use the time for practice. Probably the same for Huk after all the travelling they did in the last months.

Lol Kawaii, I'm not saying your bad, I mean you are a great player, and would love to see you do well, but in comparison to the Titans of America, you haven't been able to put any big tournements under your belt. Now I would love to eat my words and have you win the whole thing, because we need more people like you (those who are well known in the community but haven't been able to pull through with results) to come and win these kinda tournements. But would you not feel more fufilled if you won the tournement going up against the likes or Idra, Huk, ect?
Like I think you could easily take the likes or iNcontroL, but I would like to see you win a tournement where the best of the best show up. Again we have to wait to see what happens with the Korean Qualifier.
Lol Kawaii man, ♥ ya, no hard feelings?
BTW your EMPs in the one game against attero were kinda off, what was up with that ♥

kawaii is easily one of the best terran players in NA. easily.
IN MY OPINION:
#1 select (kr player in disguise anyway...) #2 major #3 demuslim #4 qxc (when in good shape) #5 kawaii
rest of a possible top 10 list take ur pick from whoevers having a good month, illusion/drewbie/maker/somebody else that I'm forgetting
he doesn't have to win an mlg to prove it. obviously this list is just purely my ridiculously biased opinion as a high level player and follower of the NA scene.

I have been watching Attero's stream every now and then for about 3 months now. I can honestly say he is one of the best tosses out there in NA bar none. He deserves to be here because he can beat players like Sheth and Major. Attero is not on a known team so he doesn't receive a lot of attention. He has been consistently top 50 GM for many seasons now, and I think he beat a Korean and some IEM qualifier, oGsTOP I think?
EDIT: It was TSL.Killer not TOP.
