OK this is super random but I got this idea.

Imagine an MLG stage match where Player A is completely crushed and has no way to win but hasnt GGed yet.

Could player B get out of his booth and do a dance on the stage or go taunt his opponent while the game is still live or would this be a DQ?

I just thought it would be the funniest thinig ever if such a situation would happen.

Starcraft is based on a foundation of respect. Even the ceremonies never go too far and they only happen once someone concedes. What you have suggested is probably one of the most unprofessional things that could happen. You are right though, it would be the ultimate humiliation, but for the person performing it.

not counting the fact that if you go outside, you are auto DQ for exposure to commentary and audience as well as screen viewing.

I would find it hilarious to see a player walk out of his booth and go to the other players booth and say "omg that player your facing is such a noob" or something like that.

No, you're wrong man, the ultimate humiliation is getting killed by the gauntlet.

If the player steps out of his booth, he probably won't be DQ'ed for attempting to taunt, but he'll be DQ'ed for being able to listen to the crowd and the commentators.

Sounds like a good way to get hated by the community. Well maybe if this was Halo or CoD then that might be seen as "cool" or "awesome" but I don't think that it will fly in the SC community.

And yeah auto DQ

This is just so random. And no not the ultimate humiliation.

I think the ultimate would be the opponent getting a mothership then spelling out TL in pylons across the map....

Has Idra ever performed a ceremony? In my mind, his response to every game, win or lose, is a smirk whose angle is determined by how noobish he perceived his opponent to be.

I don't think what OP is suggesting would be very well received by the community. We like over the top celebrations for sure, but rubbing your victory in your opponent's face isn't very sportsmanlike. Also, I have a hard time imagining a game that was so far gone that you couldn't lose it by leaving your army uncontrolled for several minutes but wasn't far enough that your opponent had given up.

But I do indeed think that you're not allowed to leave your booth, as you may end up seeing public screens (and therefore inadvertantly cheating, regardless of how obviously over the game already was). If the game isn't finished yet and you want to humiliate your opponent to the highest degree, I would stick to doing in-game, non-verbal BM (like manner MULEs or dancing units).

Yes, more firebathero caliber ceremonies would make me very happy!

But leaving in the middle of the game seems too BM for me. I would be so incredibly frustrated if my opponent did that. I guess the difference is between taunting and celebrating. After the game is over it is a celebration, but while the game is in progress it is taunting.

This would be completely disrepectful to the other player. Nobody should ever do that. You celebrate a victory AFTER the game is done. I think all the pro-gamers will agree with me, that they'd never pull something like this off. It's a matter of respecting the opponent and his performance, as well as respecting the rules of a competition and last but not least respecting yourself. To my mind you've got to sink pretty low to do something like this. Taunting and teasing of this kind is immature.
