First Storm of the season

jmbthirteen United States10734 Posts October 05 2011 09:18 GMT #1 Ok, so I moved from Pennsylvania to Sacramento, California at the start of this year. I'm used to humidity, clouds, lots of rain and then it just gets cold and snowy. Obviously the weather in Sacramento is way better. Tonight on the 11 o'clock news, the lead story is about the first storm of the season. Now when I think of storm I think of either a thunderstorm, hurricane, or snow storm. Now the last two just don't happen here. And thunderstorms are quite rare too. You know what this first storm of the season is? Rain. Light to steady rain. WHAT THE FUCK? How can they call this a storm and use it as the lead story? I just sat there in disbelief that some rain is such a big deal. Anyways, rant over. Its raining for the first time in months and apparently this is big news. I will never understand some things out here on the left coast.
