That's actually pretty decent specs for a netbook. You should be able to play a few newer indie games as well. Some games I've played on my netbook:
Torchlight (it has a "netbook" mode) Dungeons of Dredmor VVVVVV Plants vs Zombies World of Goo Half Life Quake 3 Unreal Tournament SC Warcraft 3 (especially for Ele TD)
EDIT: Also, just a general piece of advice. If your netbook has an additional RAM spot, buy another 1gb of memory. It massively improves performance for everything.

Maybe not SO old but awesome - World of Goo. Should run smoothly on Your computer.

don't forget the SNES/NES emulator.. A must !!
Good Old game..
FlashBack so much fun with this game.

Thanks for the replies so far, I can't believe I didn't think of planescape. As far as the specs go I'm really happy, got a work deal for 425 dollars, which I'm pleased with (Few goodies in there too, bag etc)
I've got Torchlight, Dredmor, WoG, HL1, UT1 and WC3 (Most on Steam) So I'll wackk them on as well. World of Goo is amazing for sure! Keep em coming! I'll be maxed HDD before I know it! I'll have to put a 500 in

Visual Boy Advance opens up more possibilities. Fire Emblem would be my recommendation.

Try Commandos: Behine Enemy Lines.
Awe-some

Broken Sword 1 + 2 are simply amazing. I've heard of a remastered version of the game, same graphics with higher res. But it's not like we're not used to 640 * 480 graphics here ;D
Rayman 1 is the best PC 2D platform game. Amazing atmosphere, music, graphics and gameplay.
With such specs, I would even remove win7 and use XP only :/

I've decided that's the plan, running a USB install now from an old box of mine (Pro License Key) Just hunting down the drivers while I wait.

Really? My netbook had Win7, and it ran wonderfully as soon as I added a bit more RAM. It was also considerably weaker than your netbook, so I'm surprised yours is not running Win7 smoothly.

Age of Mythology (I still know almost every cheat in this game) Command and Conquer Tiberium sun (you might want to play the first one first but I grew up with this) Oregon Trail ah and I just had to google around to remind myself of the name of this but if you're going really old Lords of the Realm, that game was fun.

Hey get some nice emulators! Nearly infinite supply of games there and should run on that netbook
|
Jagged Alliance 2 Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Gothic 2 a Super Nintendo emulator of your choice Civilization 3
Some of my strongest gaming memories and experiences came from these games.

It is running quite well, I'm just planning on playing a few old DOS games so I'll just run XP for the minute. I might put some more memory in it too down the track. I've kept the recovery partition intact and made some recovery disks, so can return as needed
