I went gas first fast banshee. Spotted his 4gate early, picked off his 1st attempts at forward pylon with my scouting hellion. Bunkered up and easily repelled the 4gate. Picked off a good number of probes with banshee, parked a couple of them in the top corner and poked in a number of times through the game to keep him on his toes. I took 3bases to his 2bases, easily stuffed his 2 attacks before countering and steam rolling.

EMPs worked well, I felt like I positioned my ghosts well. I sectioned off a decent area with my tanks when I took my 3rd, but positioning could have been a little better as he was able to walk his army past my line and into my natural where he picked off all my SCV's before I could clean it up.

My spending in the mid game was terrible, I was floating 1200 to 1600 minerals around the 15 to 20 min mark. Really should have thrown down more production buildings when I took the 3rd. I also need to hotkey my engy bay and armoury to help me remember to upgrade constantly.

All in all this was a typical win vs a gold level enemy, but with mistakes which would have resulted in a loss to a decent player.

Its good that you are able to analyse your own replays, it means you don't have to depend on (possibly bad) advice that some of the people post here.

During the midgame if you have a ton of extra minerals, there is no harm in making more production facilities or even extra orbitals for scans/mules.

Remembering to upgrade is a problem for a lot of players (or at least me :S), I don't really see a way other than what you have suggested (hotkeying the buildings) to keep upgrades constantly researching.

See, I have the opposite problem. I get my ups too fast I think, but I love he early ups. Still trying to work out the right times on that one.

hotkeying your upgrading buildings is a great way to make sure you are constantly upgrading
