Several things are going to be covered in this post.
What the [BLEEP]? You really took games from Diamond players?
NOTE: NONE OF THIS HAPPENED ON LADDER. IT WAS ALL CUSTOMS
Yes. I did. Seriously.
I took down 3 Diamond levelled players, two in PvPs and one in PvT
The first one was somebody whom I agreed to play a few games with. I only won that first PvT because I was playing cheesy on Nerazim Crypt, did a proxy 2 Gateway rush, he failed to hold because his bunker didn't go up in time, and I took the game.
Of course on Antiga Shipyard, he completely demolishes me because my macro is a bit inferior to his MMM ball, and he one sidedly destroys me in an engagement. You see.... my macro can still use work it seems.
What was my issue there? Well I was floating around 700 gas, didn't use it properly, and only had about 4 High Templar and enough energy saved for 2 Psionic Storms during the engagement..
The other two were playing less cheesy, but were both PvPs where I 4-gated, they tried to 3 gate robo and failed to hold, even despite a seemingly army denying forcefield, I still had zealots in his base and warped in four more via the proxy pylon I had craftily placed on his ramp.
One was genuinely a Diamond ranked player who played Protoss as his mainrace, and the other was a Diamond Zerg offracing as Protoss. Nonetheless, feels good.
Even though I didn't really play that standardly in these games, it's at least proven that I can defeat players of that level. It's just my mechanics and responses I have to improve now.
Livestream?
Would anybody be interested in seeing a livestream from a high ranked Gold levelled player? Even despite these issues:
- Connection upload limiting the video quality, meaning the stream will probably look like ass rather than the more professional HD streams you see pros use. - The potential of stream sniping/cheating from my opponents. Very unlikely people on ladder will go out of their way to do this... - There not being much to learn from me.

Honestly, it doesn't sound very appealing. You should probably list all the positives of your stream as opposed to all of the negatives to get interest. Not sure why somebody would rather watch what you just described when they are already having a difficult time of deciding whether to watch Destiny or ZeNEXPuzzle for example.

Yeah, don't get ahead of yourself, dude. I don't doubt that you're a cool guy and are reasonably skilled, but almost everyone usually sticks with the streams of pros, unless a particular player is somehow ridiculously appealing in some way.

I lost to a gold player once. Felt bad. To this day I tell myself that he was probably smurfing on a new account and was actually like...Naniwa or something.

Good job but having a good day doesn't necessarily mean you're suddenly diamond level, especially when 4gating in PvP. But what you can do is look at your oldest replays and point out all your mistakes that you don't make anymore/as often and realize you have improved a lot.
As for streaming, no reason not to really. I'm platinum and stream with usually no viewers. But my friends will watch me when they're bored and it's good motivation to keep playing.

Most of them have 1-3 viewers (1 is probably the streamer).
So don't stream if your goal is to have many viewers. 99% of the time, the only people who will watch you are people who you know personally.

Not sure why somebody would rather watch what you just described when they are already having a difficult time of deciding whether to watch Destiny or ZeNEXPuzzle for example. You have a point both about how I made my idea initially sound and those who I'm effectively 'competing' with here. When thousands watch Destiny, ZeNEX, SlayerSDragon, Day[9] etc, you realise that you have to stand out from the crowd and offer something unique.
What pros offer is their skill and insight, which higher leagued players can decipher quite well. However, Destiny wasn't really much of a pro when he first started but built himself up from the ground and gained a significant following as well as a spot on a (now defunct) gaming team, namely ROOT.
What I can offer to an audience is my personality and an insight into how I both improve myself as a player and how I think in a game. I may also consider streaming games other than SC2 like WoW, LoL, Minecraft, TF2 etc. Hence, I probably won't just cater to the SC crowd.
I don't think I'll add a stream delay either, because it's very unlikely that players would aim to stream snipe me and/or cheat, especially in the lower leagues. It would be a significant fix to a rare problem only really seen by well known pros in smaller divisions like Master/Grandmaster League.

It's safe to say that I am not NaNiwa or any other well known progamer. Else I'd probably reveal myself to be a Master/Grandmaster levelled player rather than hide under the facade of being a guy who is just working his way up.

I'm not really considering it in the hope of being the next Destiny or anything.

Don't measure your progress based off other people, just because someone is diamond doesn't mean they're any good. I'm a shining example of that. Look at your macro, whether your getting supply blocked, how you're engaging etc.
